ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sonny’s kids week brings a big decision and a plot twist

ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal Sonny’s kids week continued with an episode from June 29, 2015. In this one, we saw something referenced in current-day Port Charles. Plus, there was a bit of a fill-in moment, and we got to see more of a situation involving Nina Reeves (Michelle Stafford). Here’s what you need to know.

ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Turn around

First, we talked a bit about how we loved seeing Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) confront Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) yesterday. They’d referenced this situation and a resulting one in current-day GH. Namely, Michael taking Avery away from his other father. He showed he’s a better person is some ways than Sonny.

See, we can’t help but agree that Avery and the rest of the kids would be better off away from Sonny. The world he chose really isn’t one for children to be involved in, and especially one as young as Avery. She’d have no concept or ability to make the choice for herself. However, it seems Michael decided it would be better to return Avery to her true father. While he was still worried, he also knew it was partially driven by a desire to hurt Sonny. It was a nice moment where a character truly owned their mistakes/choices. This doesn’t always happen, and we’re sort of sad it was him that had to do it. Especially in this circumstance. However, it was nice to see this part of things play out as Michael seemed to still feel guilt about it. And that maybe this current Wiley situation was a bit of karma coming around.

ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Fill in the blank

Recently, we got to watch an episode where Nina married Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) on Amazon. Then, we have a GH repeat on ABC where she and Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) get revenge on Ric following a horrible betrayal. After seeing this one, we are even more behind what they did in that second episode.

This one showed him outright lying to Nina about getting her mother out of prison. Then, he had to think fast to get her out of his hotel room so she wouldn’t see Madeline Reeves (Donna Mills). Definitely didn’t show Ric in a good light at all, and it only got worse.

While we never really cared much for Stafford’s Nina, we do feel bad for her here. He played on her need to get back at Franco to get her downstairs. Then, he used her being distracted by France and another woman kissing to get her to sign her money over.

ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Surprise

Also, we loved getting introduced to a fun story. At the time, Ava Jerome (Maura West) was believed dead. Supposedly, a look alike relative (Denise DeMuccio) showed up in town and tried to connect with Ava’s daughters. We were pleasantly surprised to read this was Ava herself. She’d faked her death and adopted this identity so she could get away with murder. Gott love this twisted, fun character.
