Netflix and Queer Eye For The Straight Guy star Tan France definitely has something to celebrate this week. The celebrity revealed on his Instagram account that he is an official citizen of the United States. The British-born star made the announcement via his Instagram account and also immediately said that one of the first things he will do as a new U.S. citizen is register to vote. Looking as stylish and now American as ever, the 37-year-old Netflix star posted several new photos on his Instagram account. In one the stylist can be seen taking the Oath of Allegiance while also posing with his husband, Ron France. Accompanying the pictures, Tan captioned the post, “A few minutes ago, I officially became an U.S citizen!! For me, this is monumental. It’s something I’ve been working towards for literally 20 years, which makes this all the more emotional. And now, I will exercise my constitutional right as an American. Today, I will register to vote, and vote for the change I wish to see in OUR nation.”

Of course, it didn’t take very long for his fans and social media followers to respond and congratulate Tan on his new citizenship. Many comments have included, “So happy it’s been such a long journey for you—so proud of you and thrilled that you’re STUCK WITH US FORRRREEVVVVERRRR,” along with, “Congratulations! Excited for you and amazing to have another citizen voting!”
Hollywood actor Justin Theroux, who is quite close with the Queer Eye for the Straight Guy stars, wrote, “YES!!!” followed by several clapping emojis. Actress Courtney Cox Arquette did the same.
Congratulations to Tan France as we can’t wait to see him celebrate his first 4th of July this summer as an American citizen and of course, also see him vote in November’s election.
