Lifetime ‘Married at First Sight’ Spoilers: Jamie Otis Goes Into Labor

On the fourth episode of Couples’ Cam, we will see Doug and Jamie getting very nervous about the birth of their child. Jamie begins to have contractions and we can see that she is in so much pain. Doug tells cameras, “Jamie woke up with mild contractions. She’s now in a lot of pain. She’s saying they’re becoming more frequent, and I don’t know, I just feel like today’s the day. I’m just hoping the midwife can get here and help coach us through this because he’s coming.” We see that Jamie gets to about four centimetres dilated and then the midwife comes to their home. Doug and the midwife Dina take Jamie to get into the bedroom, where the pool is for her to give birth. Jamie had to sit through the pain with no pain medications in her home. She would have to sit in the pool and get through the contractions.

Doug said, “To be honest, I’ve never seen Jamie in this much pain before. I mean even for the first labor she had an epidural. It took the pain right away. And this is now something that neither of us had expected or could of planned for. This is just uncharted territory for us.” Jamie spoke out after the birth of Hendrix, “The contractions came, and they were like fire-all-consuming of my whole entire body. It was very, very painful, but I tried really hard not to panic and reminded myself that my baby boy is going through the same exact thing that I am.” We are very happy that baby Hendrix is happy and healthy. You can keep up with the couples on Couple’s Cam on Lifetime.
