CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers finds that to wrap up the ever-loved Abbott week, Y&R producers are taking Friday’s episode back to a recent Christmas celebration! Since the global pandemic has halted production, viewers haven’t seen many Christmas holidays – though there’s been no shortage of Halloween episodes and wedding reminders! In today’s episode, we watch Abbott’s join together on December 24, 2019.
The Abbott’s did it differently in 2019! Instead of having a traditional family dinner in one of their cozy (rich, fancy, luxurious) dining rooms, the favorite family joined at Society with friends to settle into some holiday cheer! At this point, Dina Abbott (Marla Adams) was beginning to see a decline in her health, so the Abbott children wanted to give her some quiet time with her nurse. Of course, this idea was better in theory because there is no such thing as a flawless Christmas holiday in Genoa City. The feud between Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) was beginning to heat up, and Kyle has had it with Theo and Lola Rosales’s (Sasha Calle) ‘friendship’.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Christmas In June
Meanwhile, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) is flirting with Amanda (Mishael Morgan) because Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is out of town. He’s just the best, isn’t he? No. Fenmore Baldwin (Zach Tinker) comes to Genoa City with a huge surprise for his loving parents, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) and Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman)! He shows up for Christmas clean and sober! Honestly, would there be ANY better Christmas gift for his doting mother? ABSOLUTELY NOT!

After Jack gives a beautiful speech, and the group of friends shares laughs of love, everyone disperses. The Abbott clan heads back to spend the remainder of the evening with Dina, who is thrilled to have all of her children in one room. I think it’s safe to say that this episode was the perfect way to wrap up Abbott week, as it brought tears of joy and laughter.
