British Royal Family News finds that all royal fans look forward to every year. However, this year will be unlike the famous events of years gone by. It will be a much more scaled back version of the event, and will take place at Windsor Castle rather than Buckingham Palace. Fans of the royal family had expected the event to be cancelled altogether due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
However, it has since been revealed that there will be a smaller event. The guest list has not yet been confirmed, but it will present a disappointment for Prince George and Princess Charlotte as they would have been part of the carriage procession for the first time this year.
British Royal Family News: Disappointment For Royal Fans
It will be a disappointing occasion for royal fans, as one of the best things about Trooping the Colour is the ability to see the younger royals interacting with their older royal relatives. It is unlikely that any of the royal children will be in attendance for the event this year. Furthermore, it is also unlikely that William and Kate will be there.
The Queen and Prince Philip have been spending their period of lockdown together at Windsor Castle. However, the latest developments mean that there is still no set date on when they will be able to return to public life. It has previously been rumoured that the Queen may not be able to return to active life until later in the year.
British Royal Family News: History Of Royals In Procession
It would certainly be a disappointment that royal fans will be unable to see Charlotte and George at the event this year. William attended his first carriage procession in 1987. The event just came a few weeks before the future king turned five.
Prince Harry’s first appearance at the event didn’t come for another two years. The recently departed prince was also attending the event just shy of his fifth birthday. On both occasions, the debutants were joined by Princess Diana and the Queen Mother. For any other soap opera and entertainment news, please visit Daily Soap Dish.
