CBS ‘Bold and the Beautiful’, CBS ‘Young and the Restless’, ABC ‘General Hospital’ and NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ will all have to adapt to the new social distancing rules as the global pandemic that is the coronavirus (Covid-19) has changed life as we know it. In fact, there’s a very good chance that there will be less love and passion in front of the cameras, and more distance between the actors as new rules will be put in place before production resumes in the Hollywood and television industries. Here’s what you need to know.
Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) won’t have to worry about Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden) kicking her out of bed at Wyatt Spencer’s (Darin Brooks) beach house, because the coronavirus (Covid-19) will do it for her. Seeing how Netflix has already started production of several different series in countries like South Korea, Japan, and Iceland – where the cast and crew are following all health, safety and social distancing guidelines – there’s a chance that the daytime television industry will follow suit. That means less kissing, cuddling and the usual activity underneath the sheets and more screaming and shouting, but from a distance.

So far, the producers of ‘Bold and the Beautiful’, ‘Young and the Restless’, ‘General Hospital’ and ‘Days of Our Lives’ have not made any comments as to how they will proceed with filming the moment production starts up again, but it’s without a doubt that changes will be made. Instead of cat fights, there will be angry phone calls and more scenes filmed outside, where it will be safer for the cast and crew to film. With that said though, the coronavirus (Covid-19) will definitely change the daytime television world as we know it, but the drama will still be there, even if the passionate ones in bed won’t.
