We remember the pair from their ill-fated accident involving the death of fourteen-year-old Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) and subsequent run from the law that led them to LA. Airing on June 29, 2005, this episode focuses on Neil and Dru deciding not to call the police, and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) continue their search.

The waiter recognizes them, but doesn’t know where they are currently.

This prompts Phyllis to urge Nick to return home to a grieving Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) now that they know the kids are in the area. Nick refuses, insisting he needed to stay to see justice is meted out to Daniel for Cassie’s death. While they continue to plan what to do and where to look next, Neil discovers Brandon’s been hiding he’s known where Daniel and Lily are.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers Throwback For May 21: Messages lead the way
While Brendan takes a shower, Neil notices there are several messages on his answering machine and asked if he could listen to them. When he does, two were from Daniel and one from Lily. They not only let him know they were in LA, but that they would be calling back about coming there to stay. Neil then calls Drucilla to tell her, and after convincing her to stay where she is, has his brother, Malcolm, talk him down. Malcolm explains he needs to remain calm or he could make things worse with Lily. It’s wise advice, but whether or not Neil will follow through on it is another question.
This has the potential to be the best episode of this week’s theme simply from a dramatic angle, and CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers can’t wait to see everything unfold. It’s so not cool we won’t see the aftermath of Daniel’s exoneration or Lily getting sent to boarding school under the current format, and this only emphasizes what CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers has been saying about needing a channel dedicated to older episodes.
