CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers finds that star Melissa Ordway is feeling like her old self again. The actress, who is best known for her role as Abby Newman on the hit CBS soap, shared a photo of her latest look on Instagram but unfortunately, it didn’t come without controversy. Here’s what you need to know.
Sharing a photo of her new look, Melissa captioned her pic with, “When one of your best friends is also one of the best hairstylists/ colorists. Thank you @christinepasqualone for bringing me back to blonde life.” And while Melissa certainly looks very beautiful, it didn’t take very long for her fans to respond to the photo, with many pointing out that hair salons in the Los Angeles area are yet to open. One fan even wrote, “You should not be announcing her. It’s totally illegal. She could lose her license.”

Many other social media followers followed up with, “It’s illegal to do home visits now too. Just giving you a heads up not to post on social media bc your friend could lose her license,” along with, “I’m a licensed stylist and I’ve done my girlfriends hair in their homes and NO it’s not illegal and I won’t lose my license. I didn’t hang out a sign or take money. It’s friendship.”
For her part, Melissa said in the comments section that her hairstylist came to her house to do her hair and that she did not in fact go to a hair salon. While many other states across the country are opening up small businesses like restaurants and salons again, California is still enforcing strict stay-at-home orders.
