ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers indicate that the new episode well ran dry. With past Nurses Balls airing, and other shows digging into their archives, we thought it would be a perfect time to check out a couple of past episodes. Especially when we saw they were pretty unique. Let’s take a look at what happened and some highlights.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Going Live
For two episodes back in 2015, GH went live. It was a cool thing to see. Of course, there were obvious differences between these episodes and others. Because of the live format, they couldn’t do some of the things you might see in a regular episode. It was more like watching the actors take the stage, letting their abilities and the story take the focus, rather than any flashy effects. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal the show appeared seamless. There were no obvious mistakes, and the action flowed well. So, what was one of the better moments?
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The Good
We got a real laugh out of Nina Reeves (Michelle Stafford) opening the whole thing up with a rant about live television. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers alert: she’s apparently not a fan. But they showed more of a sense of humor by having her rest her feet on a table, only to have it break. Later on, Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) was there, waiting for her to come back into the room. While he waited, he fixed the table, then pulled the same move she did—with the same result. A fun running joke that broke the tension of the episode.
Another great moment was watching Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) take out the man who killed Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan). It was an emotional, tense moment that let viewers see just how destroyed she’d been by Duke’s death. Also, as a nice bookend to end things on a light note, each episode ended with a cast member showing off cards with credits on them.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The Bad
Obviously, it’s a bit confusing to try to follow an episode that features several characters you aren’t familiar with. Seeing Vinessa Antoine as Jordan Ashford also made us see what’s lacking with the current version of the character. While they’re giving her some more interesting stuff to do now, we can see where the old Jordan was still a more interesting character and we feel this actress just fits the part better.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The Insane
In a bit of funny that was hilarious just for the pure insanity involved Nina. We’re not sure of everything that led up to this, but when Franco came to visit, he was clearly trying to make amends. However, Nina wasn’t having it. Actually, she looked downright crazy in most of the shots, and her choice to marry Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst), who’d literally just been proposing to another woman, was just weird and clearly spiteful. We have to give a shoutout to the Justice of the Peace dealing with an angry Franco objecting over and over again. It showed the lighter side of Howarth again, and we love it.
