TLC ‘My 600-Lb Life’ spoilers finds that James King became of a fan favorite on the show. He appeared on season five of the show. When we first saw him on the show, he weighed 840 pounds! He wanted to use the show to help him lose the weight he needed in order to receive a gastric bypass surgery. The King family was very helpful when opening up about how James died. They said that in February, he started to get really sick. His doctors said that his liver and kidneys were completely shutting down. The organ failure comes from living with an unhealthy weight problem. He went to a Kentucky hospital on February 10th to seek additional medical help. Then, a few hours later, he ended up going down to Nashville to see the doctors there. With all of these medical issues going on, on April 3rd he passed away due to heart failure.

James King was married to his wife, Lisa Raisor King, had four daughters, two sons, and 19 grandchildren! His family has been posting a lot on social media to pay tribute to his kindness and love that he always gave them. His stepdaughter, Krystle Langston posted a picture of him in the hospital and it read, “Just feels so empty. I miss you so much.”

When James was on My 600-Lb Life, he opened up a lot about how he was raised. His father was a single dad and his mother was an alcoholic that he never really saw. He did end up reconnecting with her later on in his life, but she dies from liver cancer. The day of her funeral, his house burned down and this set the tone for his life. “I lost just about everything I had in a single day. I just couldn’t handle all that. I was just do depressed, tore up– I couldn’t even go to school. It seemed like all I wanted to do was eat.”

The show did discuss his medical problems that he had suffered, He had sepsis, cirrhosis of the liver, and kidney failure. The producers of the show heard about his death and said, “We are deeply saddened. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.”
