TLC ’90 Day Fiancé: Self-Quarantined’ finds that Elizabeth Potthast Castravet and Andrei Castravet from the show are going through a bit of a hardship right now. Not that we know the ins and outs of their relationship, because we don’t, but just from the impressions we get, these two seem like a couple that are like two ships passing in the night. It looks like aside from when they get home from their daily activities, they don’t really spend a whole lot of time together because that’s just not really who they are. That’s fine though, as long as they’re bonded where it really counts, that’s perfectly okay.
But you can tell the quarantine is stressing them out a bit. Elizabeth seems like the type to want to stress shop when she’s home alone with nothing better to do, and it looks like Andrei is more the type to go hang out with his folks when he is stressed out. However now that COVID-19 has hit and everyone’s in lockdown, they can’t exactly do that anymore and it’s really fraying at their edges. Not to mention, they have a 14 month-old who, while has not entered the terrible two phase yet, you can tell she is moody. Probably because her daily routine has been interrupted. Moodiness in babies can result in moodiness in Mommies, which can set off a chain reaction and get Daddy moody as well, so… it’s a powder-keg.
TLC ’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: Self-Quarantined – Prioritizing during a pandemic with Elizabeth and Andrei
Andrei is worried about his elderly parents who still live in Moldova and are on their 9th day of quarantine as of the time of this writing. He wants to travel to see them but right now every country is on lockdown so he can’t do what he most wants to do, and that is go and make sure that his family is okay. His parents are some of the most vulnerable, they are senior citizens, and it’s only natural that he would want to go and see that they had everything they needed. But he doesn’t have access to them, or for that matter, money for a plane ticket it looks like.
Yeah the money thing is getting to them big time. Apparently even though her paycheck has been cut in half Elizabeth spent $400 in shirts… which, okay, if you want nice shirts then it’s easy to spend a lot of money. Trust me. However there’s sometimes when you just have to economize and put down the Lululemon catalog and buy a pack of Hanes Her Way, girl, I’m just saying. I want to look as nice as the next girl, but you don’t have to until Quarantine ends! That’s the beauty of social distancing and self-quarantine, you don’t have to look your best, you don’t even have to look presentable! You can even adopt a nudist lifestyle if you live at home and own a poncho! A long poncho… or perhaps just walk to the mailbox in a snuggie. At least that way you won’t get arrested!
However, Andrei brings up a pertinent point in his one of his videos, and even though we are social distancing and allowed to look like a slob, we are not allowed to smell like one. It’s always good to continue to practice good hygiene because you never know when a vaccine may be developed and social distancing and quarantine could be lifted and then where would you be? Up a creek and needing deodorant and the store could just be out because we all saw the empty shelves earlier and we all know about the toilet paper and hand sanitizer situation! Yike! Still, I think Andrei did a very thorough job of illustrating why it’s important to maintain good grooming, even in a pandemic, and we can all applaud that. Let’s just hope that no one has the bright idea to buy up all the soap. Ew. Stay tuned!!!
