We all know Ricardo Vidal (Eric del Castillo) is a cheat. He’s been very active in helping José Luis Navarrete (David Zepeda) out of uncomfortable situations. Even when that means protecting one of the most hated criminals in the country—Lucho Navarrete (Bernardo Flores). When José Luis got arrested as an accomplice to the crimes for hiding Lucho, he even let José Luis sleep in his office. It’s a crazy situation. But so far, Vidal has kept himself out of trouble. That might be about to change.

One of the biggest thorns in Vidal’s side has been León Contreras (Carlos Ponce). At every turn, he’s been defying orders, especially when it involves the Navarretes. La Doña spoilers indicate he asks tough questions, too. But he hasn’t been able to get anything on Vidal. Until now.

With the help of others, including Karen Velarde (Mayra Sierra), he bugged Vidal’s office. It was the perfect trap. All that shady business seems to happen there. In particular, his dealings with Navarrete. During Tuesday’s episode, they taped a phone call where Vidal outright talked about messing with an investigation. And it seemed clear what investigation he meant, despite not hearing the other side of the call. The looks on their faces when they got that crucial evidence were priceless. And León’s was even better. He’s planning a big move soon, and it’s going to have a huge impact on the rest of the series.

León is stubborn guy. We’ve already seen that in the way he handles his job. La Doña spoilers reveal no amount of threats are stopping him. He outright said he didn’t care what happens to him, career-wise. He’s going to hand over that evidence and make sure it’s used.
We’re not sure what “offer he can’t refuse” León has in mind when he goes to Internal Affairs. But we’re pretty sure he’s not bluffing on that. We’re leaning toward him making sure copies of those recordings will go to the media if IA ignores Vidal’s corruption. And that will be the final nail in Navarrete’s coffin.
