Cennet spoilers: Obsessed
One of Selim’s biggest problems right now is Melisa Soyer (Zehra Yılmaz). She’s a bit of a spoiled princess, one of Arzu Soyer’s (Esra Ronabar) creation. We’re guessing her choice to keep Melisa when she abandoned Cennet had to do with Melisa being fathered by a rich guy. And that’s why she’s so spoiled, because she’s a “proper” daughter who helps provide Arzu with the good life. But, whatever the case, she is massively spoiled and she’s beyond gone over Selim. This has led to animosity with Cennet, as well as a dangerous situation. Melisa decided to go off and get drunk to forget Selim’s more interested in Cennet than her. But no one tells the truth better than a drunk, and she impulsively called Selim, who agreed to meet with her. While driving her home, she went on about how crazy she is for him, but when she didn’t get the enthusiastic response wanted, she nearly killed them both by grabbing at the steering wheel. We’re not advocating violence against women, but this is one case where he probably should’ve tried to knock her out or something, because she caused an accident that could have been serious.
Cennet spoilers reveal Selim was very kind about the whole thing. He got her home as quietly as possible, and even took responsibility for the accident to those who did find out. And now Melisa has her hopes up that he helped her, while not remembering what she did. Poor Selim is going to have a hard time getting this girl to back off, as there’s only one woman he is interested in right now.

Speking of, Cennet spoilers indicate Cennet herself is the one he loves. He’s gone out of his way for her, including trying to talk her into coming back to work. He gave it a good effort, showing up at the market she’s working for to beg her to return, but she said no. She still refuses to have anything to do with Arzu and that company after what happened. But a strange moment right before they met makes us wonder what dark secret his family is keeping.

First off, Cennet spoilers indicate he had a flashback just before Cennet arrived. He remembered a childhood friend who he shared something they called a music box, but looks more like one of those globes you shake.
Oddly enough, this same object showed up at his parents’ house, but it was hidden in a drawer, and his mother, Nilgün Arısoy (Çiçek Acar), seemed furious when she found it. They’ve made a couple of references to a huge secret, and we have a feeling he’s adopted as a way of replacing a dead child. This story is just beginning to take shape on the show, so we’ll be excited to see where it goes from here. But it definitely appears he was an abandoned child himself who once was friends with Cennet, and they’re meant to rediscover each other.
