NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers indicate Salem is starting to look like it’s in its own version of Groundhog Day. Either that, or they’re just too stupid to learn anything. In the Thursday, April 23rd episode, Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) suffered a devastating blow. And what come next was a bit sickening. Let’s take a look at what went down.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Harsh blow
First of all, it seems the DiMera board is the first one to dump on Gabi. We saw her plead her case to Li Shin (Remington Hoffman), who admitted in front of her, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn), and Abigail Deveraux (Kate Mansi) that Gabi made compelling arguments. Still, it looks like the younger Shin didn’t come to make decisions. They may have already been made. He quickly handed the job to Chad. But there was more.

In a very strange move, he also announced Gabi has been removed as head of Gabi Chic. This seems unfair to us. Chad’s wife’s struggles with DID caused all kinds of drama to the family/others. Chad was brainwashed into being Stefano DiMera’s (Stephen Nichols) puppet and almost killed Gabi. Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) still holds stock in the company despite her past. And let’s remember that Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) also faced controversy during his tenure. Plus, DiMera-owned assets helped cause most of the trouble in this town in the past year or so. It seems like a no-big deal situation to at least let Gabi stay in charge of her own company.
First off, she built that brand from the ground up. It’s also been very successful for the company, and Shin didn’t acknowledge any recent declines because of her legal problems recently. It seems they just want her gone just because. We can’t help but wonder if Li and others are carrying out what Stefano might have wanted.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Making it worse
If that wasn’t bad enough, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal Chad and Abigail took it up a notch. They seemed almost gleeful about her termination. Plus, after Gabi rightfully gave them an earful about the move, Abigail made a “OMG, can you believe how insane she is?” face. Hmm. Let’s not forget that Abigail doesn’t always have composure in unfair situations, either. Instead of just seeing Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and proving she’s 100% sane during Gabi’s revenge, she flew off the handle and refused to cooperate at all. Glass houses, Abigail. Glass. Houses. But an even worse moment came next.

In further evidence that Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) is the true evil in Salem, she went out of her way to take glee in Gabi’s misery. In fact, Julie couldn’t shut up about her amazing husband and family, as well as all the other people who love her. She also went on about how great her life is. Considering Gabi’s deep grief over Stefan (plus the raw deal she always gets) are what drove her to her actions, this was a disgustingly low blow.
NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The cycle continues
There will never be a change in Salem. Days of Our Lives spoilers many of the “good” characters are too smug and self-righteous to see their own hypocrisy. They’ll keep pushing people like Gabi and Kristen to the breaking point. Then, they’ll cry victim when the “bad” people come at them. It’s almost like the writers are trying to make us hate the good guys, while also propping them up as perfect deities. Honestly, it’s time for an honest, lasting Gabi win. Kristen, as well. This town needs to be taken down a notch badly.
