NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers for Friday, April 17th indicate a certain long-time character is in for an unpleasant surprise. First of all, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) is not going to be happy tomorrow. We know that Orpheus (George DelHoyo) has been running around town lately, but Marlena has been too busy being a Stefano DiMera (Stephen Nichols) experiment to keep up with the latest in Salem. That will change of Friday, as John Black (Drake Hogestyn) breaks the news to Marlena about Orpheus. We never saw him in action before this, but from what we have seen about Orpheus’ back story, Marlena will not react well to this. With all the trauma lately, we’re wondering how long until Marlena needs to talk to someone. They’re pushing this character far. And it makes our evil writer hearts proud.

It seems to be a theme lately. ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal we already have an issue over Mackenzie now that Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) took off with her. And on ‘General Hospital’, we have a war over Wiley. But the Soap Gods aren’t done with custody chaos yet.
Teasers indicate Rafe and Orpheus argue about David on Friday. We think it’s a safe bet that Rafe will call Orpheus out on lying for Evan Frears (Brock Kelly). But Orpheus probably won’t care. We think he’ll be ruthless in making sure Evan gets what he wants.

Custody isn’t the only thing soap characters are fighting about. Thanks to a pep talk from Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith), it seems that a war for Kayla Brady’s (Mary Beth Evans) heart is definitely ahead. And think it will end on a cliffhanger for Monday. Teasers reveal that Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) informs Steve Johnson (Nichols) he’ll fight for Kayla. There is bound to be a very awkward talk ahead for these two, and we’re sure neither one will be gentle about the intention to take the other out of the picture.
Ultimately, this is going to rest on one person: Kayla. Teasers say she will be torn between Justin and Steve on the 17th. But, based on the weekly promo, you can expect her to come to a decision. Of course, we shouldn’t expect her to say what it is until Monday.
