CBS ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers indicate fans might finally have an answer as to why Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) has been treating his son Douglas Forrester (Henry Samiri) in the way that he has. That’s because he’s only parenting in the same way that he might have been raised by his parents: Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo). Here’s what you need to know.
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, actor Matthew Atkinson, who plays Thomas Forrester on the hit CBS soap, admits that little Douglas is living out the nightmare that was once his own childhood. In other words, this is Thomas’ way of justifying the emotional turmoil he is causing little Douglas.

He told the publication in its latest issue, “Ironically, Thomas is making Douglas feel like Thomas felt when he as a child, you know, feeling like he’s losing one of his parents. That’s really the whole point of this. It’s kind of smart. Sadly, he’s using Douglas, again, to achieve those goals.”
But with that said, Thomas is certainly a character that knows how to zero in on what he wants. Matthew Atkinson agrees. He added, “Yes. One of Thomas’s great strengths is that he can figure out what other people want really quickly.”
Of course, this only gives Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) another reason to fight for full custody of little Douglas Forrester. In fact, she’s the only one who might be able to save him from his family and his father’s devious ways. The last thing the world needs is another Thomas Forrester running amok, causing chaos and destroying lives, right? Needless to say, ‘Bold and the Beautiful’ fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen next!
