The opening price for the letter from Princess Diana will be £16,000. However, it is expected to be sold at a much higher price than that. Meanwhile, in the letter, Diana thanked the force for their efforts to make his birthday special. That was a clear reference to the fact that the day would have been a busy one for the police force as there were a number of strikes in the capital by transport workers.
