Killing Eve spoilers reveal the new season is now here. BBC America and AMC released the season two weeks early, which is a perfect way to escape for a little while. And the premiere provided plenty of entertainment. Here are some key moments for episode one.

    Killing Eve spoilers: Moving on

The season started off with Villanelle (Jodie Comer) moving on. Or trying to, anyway. Killing Eve spoilers indicate that we first see her at a wedding, where she’s dressed in a black suit while her bride is in a white dress. This scene was classic Villanelle and shows what makes this show so great—the dark humor. She gives a speech at the reception that seems beyond awkward, as she talks about being happier since her ex died. Not the best choice for a toast, but it’s so her.

Even better was when she spotted a woman on the other end of the room and flipped out. She ran at the mystery woman and attacked, leading to this insane brawl in front of everyone. One that spilled over to the guests, too. Later, Villanelle is seen pouting in a car next to this mystery woman. When it shows the back of the car, you can see the “Just Married” stuff hanging off the back.

Killing Eve spoilers: Back at it

This woman, it turns out, is Dasha (Harriet Walter). She was a champion gymnast/assassin. She was once Villanelle’s trainer as well. Her latest mission is bringing Villanelle back into the business, and a trip back home to Russia is her reward. So she is very motivated. Our favorite moment was when Villanelle joined her to watch a gymnastics class. Showing she hasn’t lost her edge since last season, Villanelle gave a kid a bit of advice on ticking off her coach. “Tell her Russia is a corrupt state, clinging to the shadows of its former Soviet glory.”

Watching Villanelle and Dasha interact was great, as they seem like they’re cut from the same cloth. When Dasha mocked Villanelle’s dream of being made a Keeper, something above even Dasha’s level, they ended up nearly chocking each other, then let go and started laughing about it. Seriously. These two are perfect for each other, and we’re curious to see how Villanelle will do in her new role. It sounds like they’re going to make her a political agitator first, as it’s a process.

    Killing Eve spoilers: Competition ahead?

One of the more interesting parts, though, was how we do see some serious competition ahead. Villanelle considers herself the best, while Dasha bragged that her kills are so legendary, people still study them. After performing a job in the episode, Villanelle arranged the victim as an exact match to a kill Dasha did in a ‘70s-era flashback scene. We don’t think that will go unnoticed, and should signal more copying/one-upping ahead.
