TLC has shown us that it is hard for people to find love and even more difficult for those who are different. Big Ed is pretty much the only sincere person that we have seen on this show so far. He is real and he has been through a lot in his years. He has started speaking out on how he has been body shamed. We have the scoop on what Ed has been going through.

Ever since he became a cast member on Before the 90 Days, many fans have found that they love him, but there are some fans that say otherwise. Ed has been met with some backlash and some very cruel comments online. These comments, he says, are all about how he looks physically. Ed’s goal of being on the show is to fly out to the Philippines to meet the love of his life, Rosemarie. They have quite the age difference and Ed has been trying to make himself look younger for her. Ed is very worried that Rosemarie won’t like the way that he looks and this has been stressful for him.
TLC 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days – Ed and Body Shaming
Ed has started to open up more about body shaming and the disorder that he has, Klippel-Feil syndrome. This is a very rare condition which complicates the fusion of bones in the neck. “I have limited range of movement. I have a bigger than normal chest cavity, so I’ve been made fun of my whole life, and when I was in high school, I actually got stuck in the neck machine. I used to work out with all the football players and so that became kind of a running joke, so I sort of become really well-known, they would still sort of tease me. So when the show first came out, I was literally in a panic because I was reading stuff online- which they told me not to-and that’s all it was, was I can’t wait until next season.”
With all of the body shaming that he has dealt with, Ed says that you can’t let your condition make you who you are. He seems to have a great sense of humor about it all and he continues to keep smiling and loving his life. Find out what happens with Ed and Rosemarie on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days on TLC.
