NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers find that star Kate Mansi (Abigail DiMera) is using the most of her time in self-isolation by catching up on her reading. The actress recently shared a thought-provoking post after completing her latest book, The Fox Hunt by Mohammed Al Samawi. Here’s what she has to say.
Sharing a photo of herself looking rather teary-eyed, the beautiful brunette wrote, “I am alive, standing here in front of you today because of a series of small acts.” @alsamawi spoke these words at this year’s Yom Kippur service @ikar_losangeles & I couldn’t shake the impact of his story. I bought his book days later & brought it with me to start reading over a few trips the last months but never got around to it. I’ve always had a ritual when I start a book, to write on the inside cover- the date & where I am in my life at the time I’ve started it. Like love, I feel books always find us at the right timing.”

The actress then added, “I strongly suggest reading this book during the current environmental climate. After finishing it finally yesterday, I couldn’t move for a long while. I got up to the kitchen but stood there frozen still not ready to go back to my life yet. My fiancé, who also heard @alsamawi speak that day & knew I’d been reading the book, looked up from his current office desk…(the kitchen table) and ended his work call. I had no words to tell him the experience I’d had with this book except to repeat over & over “we are lucky, we are just so so lucky.” To be alive, to have the freedom to choose how we create & shape our lives, who we love! I’ve just ordered several more copies to keep in my closet alongside my other favorite book to gift which ironically, is “The Choice” by @dr.editheger. What a pair. You are such a wonderful soul and a wonderful actress,” along with, “This sounds so inspiring. Will be putting this on my list of must reads.”
