CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) got into Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) room and destroyed her laptop. Plus, they also found the thumb drive with audio from the Las Vegas discussion between Chance and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). However, won’t it seem pretty obvious to Phyllis who did this? They were specifically after the two items.
Who else knows about her recording? It would only be Adam, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Chance. It seems pretty obvious that Phyllis will be able to deduce who broke into her room and fried her computer and stole a thumb drive. Though, even if she knows who did, will she still be able to maintain her shares of the hotel? Assuming she didn’t upload the audio to a cloud service, like dropbox, the audio is presumably destroyed.

CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Will Phyllis Find Out It Was Chance & Abby?
Even if Phyllis does find out, what will she be able to do? Assuming the laptop and thumb drive had the only audio files, she still has all the hotel shares. After Abby signed her letter of intent to sell, anything, after it doesn’t really matter, does it? It’s a legally binding contract so Phyllis has gotten what she wants. However, we know Phyllis, and we know how petty she is. Chances are, she will try to make their lives a living hell on principle.
So what now? Was it a waste of time or is it just insurance so Chance and Adam don’t go to prison? That seems to be the only motive. Abby has already made moves to purchase new buildings to compete with Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford). What do you think?
