TLC 90 Day Fiancé Spoilers: Why Do We Love it So Much?
The founder of Sharp Entertainment, Matt Sharp, wanted to make a show about love and dating. He wanted it to touch people’s hearts and make them hopeful and inspired. His premise was basically people who meet online and fall in love, then they fly to see each other face to face, and get married. In 2014, it wasn’t as easy as it is now with Facebook and Instagram to find the person you think is it.vSharp pitched the show idea to quite a few networks and everyone told him that he was crazy. It was in 2013 that he sat down with the executives at TLC and they loved his idea! We are certainly glad they did too! They thought it was a really fresh idea and one that fans of the network could really enjoy and support. Boy, were they right!
Casting seemed to be pretty tough, but they searched all over the world for the perfect cast. They were sent tapes and gave them a detailed interviewing process. They wanted to find people with great back stories and lives that were intriguing and not boring. They found some great couples for the first season. After they saw so many happy couples, they decided to start the spin off series of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After. This was to track what the couples were doing now that they were married. It all seemed to fall into place once TLC picked up the show. There have been many positives that have come from 90 Day Fiancé and as fans of the show, we know how excited we get each time there is a new season. We are forever grateful for Sharp and TLC for giving us our favorite show of all time!
