ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers indicate there’s a strong possibility that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) might get a second chance. As a matter of fact, co-head writer Dan O’Connor opens up about the character’s road to redemption in a new interview with Soaps In Depth. Here’s what he has to say.
If there’s one thing that we’ve learned about Wes Ramsey these last several months, it’s that he’s done a pretty good job of leading a double life so much so that others have no clue that there’s an evil man living underneath that exterior of his. Actually, make that a supposedly evil man.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Peter August On The Road To Redemption – Does He Have A Chance At A New Life?
“He’s done ugly things in the name of protecting his beautiful life,” pointed out O’Connor. “Even as he’s committing them, he’s wondering if he is even worthy of the life he’s leading! Anna is basically the angel on his shoulder, and the ghost of Faison is the devil.” There’s also the fact that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will also decide on whether or not Peter can be trusted, especially once she learns the truth about his double life. Even though she had her reservations during the beginning of their relationship, Peter has proven himself to be not only a great boyfriend, but one of the most supportive friends that she has had in a very long time.
“Whether he realizes it or not,” suggested Van Etten, “Peter believes that Maxie’s love makes him worthy and makes him a better person.” With that said, there are a lot of people that are certainly rooting for Peter August. Regardless of whether or not you like him, he’s here to stay. Of course, ‘General Hospital’ fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen next!
