Recently on Instagram, Derick held a question and answer session with his fans. One fan is the reason for starting the entire session and they began it by saying, “Oh wow. Yeah, I can see Jim Bob controlling the money, which isn’t right. Seems JB wants control of everything, which isn’t right. Ya’ll are adults and should receive your pay…And why is he on the show? Wasn’t he kicked out… because of hiding what Josh did?”
TLC Counting On Spoilers: Should The Duggar Kids Get their Own Show?
Of course, Derick had to chime in when his fans posted. He talked about how the shows just changed names and how the family was under the impression that no one was making money off of it. They had this delusion that the money was going to the ministry. The children were told the money would go to things like gas, restaurants, and the church.
Derick fielded many complaints and questions from fans and finally posted back to one saying, “TLC should give the kids their own show.” For fans of the Duggars, this seems like an excellent idea, but would Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar agree? Would the show be able to focus on the Duggar kids and their children or would it be able to dive into the controversies surrounding the family? No matter what Derick thinks, this could be a great idea for a new spin off series!
We are still waiting to see if TLC will welcome the Duggars back for another season of Counting On.
