'The Young and the Restless' Star: Here’s Why Kevin Fisher Came Back To Genoa City

‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers tease that while Doug Davidson (Paul Williams) was very vocal in getting Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) back on the show, there’s another reason why he returned. Actually, make that a person! Apparently ‘The Moustache’ himself wanted to see the conniving yet super smart con back in Genoa City. Here’s what you need to know.

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Greg Rikaart tells the publication that his co-star Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) was also very instrumental in getting Kevin Fisher back on the show. He says, “I know he made a stink upstairs when Liz Hendrickson (Chloe Mitchell) and I both left the show. He was surprised to have me back. He looked at me like, ‘What the heck are you doing here?’ I was classic Eric.”

Greg also said that he certainly appreciated the brief on-screen moment that Kevin and Victor shared. He added, “I think that particular episode was short and they actually wrote that moment between Victor and Kevin in a few days before we shot it. They didn’t have any interaction since Kevin had been back, so it seemed like something organic to have them run into each other. Victor had just faked his death, so they were sort of like, ‘Hey we know a thing or two about faking deaths.’ I loved it. I hope there will be more.”

With that said, fans will simply have to tune in to find out what’s in store for Kevin and of course, Chloe Mitchell. With a little bun in the oven, we have a feeling that we will be seeing these two much more on the canvas in the coming months. Fingers crossed!
