The Young and the Restless spoilers is excited about Faith Newman’s (Alyvia Alyn Lind) return! This Christmas, fans were treated to more than just gifts! We saw the return of Faith Newman. She was excited to share with everyone her news of boarding school and even gossip about some of the boys she liked. Fans have enjoyed watching Alyvia Alyn Lind’s growth on the show since 2011. Before she took over the role, it was played by a pair of twins. Since then there was only a brief stint were she did not play Faith.
Faith was born in 2009, and actress Alyvia Alyn Lind is only a year older than that in real life. This makes fans hope she can keep growing up in the show and avoid the dreaded “soap opera rapid aging syndrome”.
SORAS happens from time to time, and ages characters against natural progression and the storyline. Though sometimes this is a necessity. It would truly be a treat for viewers if we could watch Faith continue to grow as most people on the show have.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: The Swirling Life of Faith Newman!
Faith has already been through a lot in her short life! Her mother, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) lied about who her father was when she first got pregnant for starters. Originally Sharon lied that baby Faith was Jack Abbots. Eventually, the truth came out and it was revealed that Nick Newman was the actual father. To make things worse, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) stole Sharon’s baby Faith to make up for causing Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) to miscarriage.
After some suspicion and a DNA test, it was revealed that the baby indeed belonged to Sharon and Nick. This was just the beginning of the long whirlwind for Faith. Over the next years, Sharon would fall for Adam Newman and Nick would sue for custody. This back and forth went on for years!
It’s amazing this young girl has become who she is today after so much stress. Though, she was just a child during all of it. She’s also had time away at boarding school and has been able to begin becoming her own person. We can all sleep peacefully knowing that she always has a safe place with her grandparents as well!
