Decisiones: Unos ganan, otros pierden spoilers indicate custody can be a tricky thing. Telemundo’s anthology series deals with real issues involving real people, and the puts stats at the end of each episode to give an idea of how widespread a problem is. Let’s take a look at how this episode played out.

Decisiones: Unos ganan otros pierden spoilers: Custody fight gets ugly

This episode tells the story of a woman named Jessica. She has two children, but she hasn’t been spending time with them. In fact, she’s sure her ex, Hernán Darío (Juan Pablo Urrego), is turning the kids against her. But she’s not giving up. After some time and hard work to build a stable life after leaving a man who has violent tendencies, she’s ready to try for custody. There’s one problem, though.

Decisiones: Unos ganan, otros pierden spoilers: Piece of work

Hernan abuses the kids, much as he did her. However, he’s the one with money and a house, so Miguel and Tomas, the kids, stay with him. When he learns about Jessica’s plans to get custody, he loses it. First, he won’t allow the kids to see her at all until after the hearing. He thinks her “dreams” were more important than their kids when his violence is her real motive for walking out.

Secondly, he doesn’t take it well when he learns the ex is seeing someone new. The new relationship came out after she managed to get the kids for an extended amount of time. He then took them back. Decisiones: Unos ganan, otros pierden spoilers indicate he told her if she wanted to see them, she’d better come to him. Alone. You can pretty much see where this is going right? Yeah, we thought so.

Decisiones: Unos ganan, otros pierden spoilers: Predictable

The ending of this episode was both predictable and surprising. Decisiones: Unos ganan, otros pierden spoilers indicate this meetup was more about forcing Jessica to come back to him. When she wouldn’t, he then attacked her, as we pretty much expected. What we didn’t expect, was the kids remained unharmed, and Jessica survived. As for Hernan, he ended up killing himself. It’s a sobering look at how easy it can be to fall under the influence of the wrong person.

Decisiones: Unos ganan, otros pierden spoilers: Familiar face

Telemundo viewers will likely recognize our not-so-nice guy. He’s played by Juan Pablo Llano, a former cast member of El Final del Paraíso. On Paraíso, he played a journalist dedicated to truth and justice, one who’d put his own safety on the line for what’s right. Hernan couldn’t be any more of a departure, and Llano nailed this creepy character.
