    News has broken that Kobe Bryant has passed away with four others in a horrible helicopter crash in Calabasas California. This plane crash was this morning and it is said that Kobe was going to the Mamba Academy for basketball practice.The private helicopter sputtered and Went down and a fire started. Emergency crews did everything that they could however there were no survivors. Five people are confirmed dead. Vanessa was not on the plane.

    Several eyewitnesses said they saw the helicopter and heard the sputtering before it crashed. The flames and smoke were everywhere and covered the sky in the ground. The cause of the helicopter crash has not been verified but there is an investigation underway. ESPN has confirmed that Kobe‘s 13-year-old daughter Gigi was on the helicopter with him as well. Kobe was known to use his helicopter for many years dating back to his Laker days.

    His daughter Gianna, or GiGi as Kobe called her was also a rising basketball player and has been seen often with her dad at many games. His youngest daughter, Capri, was just born in June. Kobe Bryant was a member of 18 All-Star NBA teams in his career. His career was 20 years long and he achieved memorable feats during this time.

    Kobe led the NBA in scoring for two seasons and was just recently passed in scoring by LeBron James. His jersey numbers were retired by the Lakers as well. He also won an Oscar for his short film titled,”Dear Basketball.” Kobe Bryant is known as one of the best basketball players of all time and this heartbreaking news is affecting everyone around the world. This is such a tragedy and our hearts, thoughts, and prayers are being sent to the entire Bryant family. He was such a great talent and a wonderful, adoring father! He will truly be missed!
