‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) had a taste of power. When Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) had to step aside a while to care for an ailing Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson), Maxie took the reigns at Crimson. She loved it. Peter August (Wes Ramsey) saw it, too. He encouraged her to set her sights higher, but is that about to happen? Here’s what you need to know.
‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Underappreciated
Maxie’s been showing signs of unrest lately. General Hospital spoilers reveal she didn’t take well to Nina seeming to brush her off a bit after returning from her failed wedding to Valentin Cassasdine (James Patrick Stuart). Her desire for distraction led her to jump right in and refuse some help from the woman who’s really been running the show. Maxie clearly looked hurt a couple times this week. But it seemed to get worse Friday, January 10th.
‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Missing out
The latest came when Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) showed up with a proposal. She wanted to partner with Crimson for her Deception launch. She came prepared with a layout and everything. She also offered a stake in the company. Maxie seemed to like the idea, but was reluctant to show Nina the cover Lucy dreamed up. There was a good reason for that.
Sasha’s face is front and center on the design. Nina almost immediately dismissed the idea of working with them based on that. In fact, she demanded Lucy find a new model to move forward. When Lucy informed Nina that Sasha’s also got a stake in Deception, things looked lost.
‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Stupid
Lucy, ever the persistent one, called Sasha to come in for the save. She also came with a dose of reality. Sasha called Nina out for potentially missing out on an amazing opportunity because of the past. Considering Nina knew Valentin scammed her from the begging, she was willing to marry him if he’d told her the truth on their wedding night. So, dismissing this deal seems a bad choice to us, too. This might be where she loses Maxie.
‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Stepping up
Maxie jumped right in, going with her promise to run point on Deception-related stuff if Nina agreed. She gave all kinds of notes and defended the deal. Nina’s willing to consider, but what happens if she says no? We see Maxie jumping ship. Lucy gave Maxie her card and asked to speak to her about teaming up. If Nina vetoes the Deception deal, we see Maxie starting her own publication with Lucy. And partnering with Deception herself. It’s something a long time coming, and will be something interesting for Nina to do now that Valentin’s out of the picture. It’ll also be a great chance for Maxie to not only grow, but to get a distraction of her own. With the way things are going, we’re sure she’ll need it.
