Coronation Street has been on our screens for the best part of 60 years, but later this year it will reach another big milestone before its 60th birthday, and bosses have announced that the 10,000th episode will be an hour-long. The episode is slated for later in the year, with viewers already suggesting that there isn’t going to be many causes for celebration on Weatherfield.
Nothing is known about the episode yet, but there have been little rumours doing the rounds that the episode could be filmed in part in Blackpool. Meanwhile, there is set to be explosive scenes involving Tracy Barlow according to reports.

Statisticians online seem to have got it worked out, as they have worked out it has been five years since Deidre Barlow died, and there has been a death in the family every five years. And fans seem to think that this year it will be the turn of Tracy.

It has been confirmed by the bosses of the soap that there will be dramatic episodes to mark the specials, so maybe the death of an iconic character may actually be in the works. She has certainly caused a lot of trouble over the festive period, after cheating on Steve with a woman.
