British Royal News finds that for the first time in a very long time, it looks like Prince Charles has become the hardest working royal in the British monarchy. Even though that title usually belongs to his sister Princess Anne, the future King of England managed to beat her out by attending 521 functions this year. Princess Anne came in second place with 506 events, which is still very impressive seeing how she is not considered one of the ‘core’ members of the royal family.
According to Woman and Home, even though Queen Elizabeth is 93 years of age, she still managed to put in 295 engagements this year. For those wondering when the Queen is going to relax and enjoy her retirement years, it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen anytime soon. That’s because Her Majesty reportedly plans on working for as long as she physically can. And from what we can tell right now, she will still go into 2020 which just as much energy as she did in 2019.
British Royal News: Prince Charles Becomes The Hardest Working Royal – The Cambridges And Sussex Fall Behind
Now, as far as the Cambridges and the Sussexes are concerned, it looks like both royal couples still have a long way to go before they catch up with the senior members of the royal family. In fact, they might want to put in double or even triple the work if they want to be on par with the likes of Prince Charles and Princess Anne.
Apparently, Prince William put in 220 engagements while his wife, Kate Middleton went to 126. Meanwhile, Prince Harry carried out 201 royal engagements, despite the fact that he and Meghan Markle welcomed their son Archie Harrison back in May. Because of her maternity leave, Meghan only put in 83 engagements, which is still quite impressive for the year.
