'Sonic The Hedgehog' - The Perfect Valentines Day Date

Sonic The Hedgehog has had quite the turnaround. From being one of the most disliked trailers to one that people can’t get enough of. The entire film has literally been saved thanks to the studio who made it, Paramount Pictures, for listening to us, the fans.

When we first saw our favorite blue hedgehog, it was disturbing. He looked like something from a low-budget rip-off. He had small eyes, weird teeth, and his body was just odd. Nothing about it screamed Sonic the Hedgehog, and the studios heard us. Though the film had to be pushed back, and tons of work had to go back into it, it is now the Sonic we all know and love.

Fans are letting the studio know their appreciation! Many are saying that they will go to the theatre to see Sonic The Hedgehog because of their willingness to listen. It is not often that a studio will completely rework a film at the behest of fans, though they probably should. Yes it costs more time, yes it costs more money but in the end, you get the people.

‘Sonic The Hedgehog’ – The Perfect Valentine’s Day Date

According to a summary by the studio themselves, Sonic The Hedgehog is, “Based on the global blockbuster videogame franchise from Sega, Sonic The Hedgehog tells the story of the world’s speediest hedgehog as he embraces his new home on Earth. In this live-action adventure comedy, Sonic and his new best friend Tom (James Marsden) team up to defend the planet from the evil genius Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) and his plans for world domination. The family-friendly film also stars Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic.”

It looks like a lot of fun and the best part is you can take the whole family! Ben Schwartz’s voice as Sonic seems to fit in perfectly, and the energy level of what you would expect. With Jim Carrey on a comedy resurgence, Sonic The Hedgehog could become something special. A video-game based film that is well received! Though these are far and few in between, Sonic The Hedgehog is primed to steal the spotlight for video game-based films.

It will all come down to next year! Sonic The Hedgehog releases on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2020. This would make the perfect date night for you and your loved ones. Or just go out for the weekend with a bunch of buddies! Go support the studio who listened to the fans!
