‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers is asking if you thought Billy Miller (ex Drew Cain, GH) was sitting around like the maytag man, waiting on a call, then you thought wrong! As it turns out he’s been busy in a new series premiering on Dec. 6th on AppleTV+ called Truth Be Told! He plays Alex Dunn, the husband of main character Lanie Burnham (Lizzy Caplan), whose father was murdered by the serial killer Warren Cave. Truth Be Told explores how podcaster Poppy Parnell investigates the murder of the Burnham Twins, Lanie and Josie’s Father by Warren Cave. A man she actually convicted. However, her knowledge of that case is turned on its head when Cave confesses that he was framed for the crime.
This drama stars Octavis Spencer as Poppy Parnell, a journalist who becomes deeply involved with this case. It also stars Aaron Paul, and Everleigh McDonnel as Ella Dunn, the daughter of Josie and Alex. Since this series looks to be so much darker and with more twists and turns than even GH could muster, I think Miller will have the chance to really shine. This opportunity will allow for him to really show off his acting chops and give him a much deeper, meatier role. Something that, as an actor, Miller can really sink his teeth into.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Billy Miller on Truth Be Told
I think he’s been needing that for awhile, as have his fans. We’ve been wanting to see this guy really show up and show out, but previously he just wasn’t given that opportunity. Now, being one of the frontrunners in a much smaller cast and given a supporting role that will have much more to do, I think he should come out just fine. We at DSD look forward to seeing what Miller’s character has to offer and where this storyline takes us.
He doesn’t have a mantel full of awards for nothing, you know! He started by playing Richie Novak back in the days of All My Children, at one time played Billy Abbott on ‘Young and the Restless’, and for the last five years has been portraying Drew Cain on ‘General Hospital’. He has won three daytime Emmy Awards, two for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a series, and one for Outstanding Lead Actor in a series when he portrayed Billy Abbott. I think they couldn’t have picked a better guy for the job. Good luck to Billy Miller!
