EastEnders spoilers finds that there aren’t many soaps that recast characters as regularly as this one, and it would appear that the soap are at it again. The show’s bosses announced on Wednesday evening that they will be bringing back an iconic character from the soap.
It was revealed in the announcement that Peter Beale would be heading back to the square. However, he will now be played by Dayle Hudson. Peter will be hoping to come back to EastEnders after taking time away to recover from the trauma that he suffered. He will also be back on the square to reconnect with his father,- Ian Beale.

Peter left EastEnders back in 2015 after the traumatic experience of his little brother killing his sister. The actions from Bobby left Peter with lasting damage, and the only chance he had of moving on with his life was to move away to New Zealand. It hasn’t been revealed as yet when we will see Peter returning to the square, but by the summer next year is the most likely conclusion. There are set to be fireworks immediately upon his return with Bobby (Clay Milner Russell) now back in the area following his release from the young offenders. It is unknown whether he will forgive him, but it is set to be a frosty reception.

Dayle is likely to portray Peter for the first time in 2020, and that will be his television debut. He will be taking over the character from Ben Hardy, who last played the role when he departed the soap in 2015. Since his departure, he has enjoyed success on the big screen in films such as Bohemian Rhapsody and X-Men: Apocalypse.
It has been a year of new faces in the soap, with many characters being recast by Jon Sen. Bobby’s return also seen a new actor portray him, while Ben Mitchell was also recast by Sen. Harry Reid had previously portrayed Ben, before leaving the soap in 2018. He was replaced by Max Bowden, who became the sixth actor to play the role. In other EastEnders casting news, Jacqueline Jossa has left the door open to a possible astonishing return to the soap during a recent interview. Jossa played Lauren Branning for eight years before departing in 2018. She was most previously seen on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here, which she won.
