It isn’t going to be the happiest of Christmases for Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) on EastEnders, as his festive day will see him suffer another setback in his health. Mick has been battling a lot of stress over recent months after his wife Linda (Kellie Bright) has been turning to alcohol to get through every day.
That has led to additional strain being put on Mick, and that is set to come to a head on Christmas Day, with the EastEnders favourite suffering a panic attack. The collapse will leave Shirley (Linda Henry) and Lee (Danny-Boy Hatchard) distraught, but can they help Mick and calm him down so he can enjoy the remainder of his day?

Mick has been through an awful lot this year, but instead of coming clean, he is hoping to just work his way through it. Linda is putting a lot of stress on him, but he is keen to enjoy Christmas as his son will be in attendance for the holiday season. However, his patience will be tested when Linda causes a commotion during the crowning of the ‘Ball and Change’ winners.
The winners of that award are Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton) and Max Branning (Jake Wood), but the atmosphere quickly turns soar as Linda throws a tirade of abuse at Ruby. Mick is shocked and orders her to leave. Linda is seen then drinking by herself in the gardens, where she falls asleep on the bench. She then fails to show up for the Christmas morning, which puts even more stress on Mick.

Mick is shocked when Linda fails to turn up on the morning of Christmas Day. He begins to worry where she has gone, and whether there is actually any saving his marriage from this position. Nevertheless, he tries to continue with his day, as he is happy to see his son.
However, things take a shocking turn in the afternoon when Mick falls to the ground after suffering from another one of his panic attacks. Thankfully, both Sharon and Lee are in attendance to help him, but they are both becoming increasingly concerned with the part that Sharon is having in his deteriorating health.
Will his loved ones deliver some home truths about what they believe he needs to do? We will see over what is sure to be a dramatic Christmas episode.
