‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers find that Connor Newman is the son of Chelsea Lawson and Adam Newman.  Things had become complicated for young Connor ever since his mother discovered she was pregnant with him. Her relationship with his dad, Adam wasn’t going very well. She thought Adam would try to take him from her by asking to take custody, so she lied to him and said Dylan McAvoy was the father of her child.
Shortly after Connor’s birth, the doctor found out that he had retinitis pigmentosa, which he could have inherited – and can later lead to blindness. But Chelsea knew the disease was passed to him from Adam because his mother had gone blind from that same disease. Dylan thought the boy had gotten the disease from him.
It was discovered that Connor’s problem was as a result of a damage that was done to his corneas, and he needed to have a cornea transplant to save him from becoming blind. Unfortunately for Billy and Chloe, and fortunately for Connor, Delia Abbott died in a car accident, and Billy and his wife agreed to donate her Cornea so Connor could save his sight. However, things took a bad turn when Chloe became so obsessed with Connor. She even abducted him for a short time!
The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Connor’s Upringing
When Adam was considered dead, Nick Newman raised Connor as his own son. Newman and Chelsea fell for each other, and when her schemes finally caught up with her, she decided to run away from town, taking Connor and Christian with her. She however decided to leave Christian behind because he wasn’t her own biological son.
On returning back to the city after staying away for some time, Chelsea Newman said her son was with her mother, Anita Lawson. She did not want to return to town with him because she was scared that Ada, who had just being discovered not to have died, might want to push for custody again. Chelsea was right!
The moment she brought Connor back to town, Ada, immediately asked that the boy move in to live with him. Chelsea refused blatantly, but she allowed Adam to spend time with his son. But when Connor heard the news of his grandfather’s demise, which was a false news, he lashed out, saying he wished they never returned to Genoa.
Adam came back and spoke with his son. He told him he wanted them to live together. Chelsea agreed after some persuasion, hoping that Connor’s stay would not be a permanent one. Connor’s attitude, however, was his own way of trying to bring his parents back together.
