General Hospital spoilers reveal that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is one of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Bernard’s) most trusted people. Pretty much known to be his enforcer, Jason’s on the PCPD’s radar. Recent events have made this a terrible thing. So, what’s next?
General Hospital spoilers: Sam’s fate
Now that Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) has been convicted of Manslaughter, she’s got a dark future ahead. The judge gave her two years in Pentonville for the murder of Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin). Put that together with her being there when Cassandra Pierce (Jessica Tuck) escaped, and she’s likely not going to be treated very well. Let’s not forget, also, that a Dawnie is on Pentonville’s payroll. She’s got a lawyer working on getting her released as early as possible, but this leaves Jason in a bad spot in the meantime.
General Hospital spoilers: Jason’s problem(s)
With Sam going away for two years, plus Drew Cain’s (Billy Miller) death, this leaves Jason as the only parent in these kid’s lives. He’s got a lot of responsibility dumped on his shoulders, and a lot of decisions to make. He’s got support. Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) opened her home to the kids. But he needs to figure out what their living situation will be long-term, as well as how to break the news to them. Jason got advice from Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) that proved helpful. It allowed him to break the news to Danny Morgan (Porter Fasullo) in the best way he could. Monica’s offer of a place to stay helped, too. Danny agrees that staying elsewhere will make it easier on them while Sam’s gone. There’s one more decision he needs to make, though.

As we mentioned, Jason is an important part of Sonny’s organization. This keeps him on the police radar and could leave with kids with no parent at all. When he’s talking to Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) about his problem with the kids, she helps put another one in his mind. He’s got to be very careful from here on out. There’s no room for even the slightest mistake. Jason seems to agree with that assessment. We see this as a potential problem for Sonny. It’d make sense if Jason were to distance himself some from Sonny’s other interests for the duration of Sam’s sentence. With Sonny sure that Jax is out there looking for any slip-up to use, this is going to come as bad news for Sonny. But it might just be the best move for Jason and the kids.
