‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal that Ava Jerome (Maura West) is on the mend—sort of. We also have Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) reaching out for help all over, Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) being protective, and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) gets called out. If you missed it, let’s get to the ‘General Hospital’ recap highlights.
‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Concerned brother
Julian Jerome (William DeVry) is more worried than ever after Laura Webber (Genie Francis) once more suggests that she needs help. He drops by Ava’s place, where she is just getting up after her night of drinking. She is worried at first, thinking someone is trying to break in. Julian seems concerned that she is packing heat and thinks that she was going to shoot first and ask questions later.
Despite Ava trying to play off her recent behavior, Julian didn’t come alone. He brought Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) with him. She isn’t looking for psyche treatment. Kevin’s glad, because he’s not offering any. He’s here to talk to her as a victim of Ryan Chamberlain (Lindstrom) as well. As they talk privately, Ava seems to perk up a bit. His asking her about why she runs that gallery gets her fired up to get back to having a sense of purpose in her life. She’s planning to take that first step by going in today. Once he’s left, she calls out to whoever she thinks is watching her to “come and get me.”
‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Help, please
Jason is desperate to prove that Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) had nothing to do with planning a Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) escape so she can off him. To do this, he goes to Laura with a request. He wants her to call the warden on his behalf to arrange a visit with Ryan. He’s hopeful that Bryce Henderson (Brian Gross) told Ryan something before he died. Laura agrees to try, but that’s all she can promise.
Kevin takes this a step further. He advises Jason not to put too much hope in this plan. Kevin tells Jason his brother doesn’t help people. All he does is lead them on and play with them. There’s no threat, promise, or anything else Jason will be able to offer that will make his brother help out, assuming Bryce did tell him something. He thinks Jason is better off speaking to the lawyer.
‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Second try
While Jason is still going to try the Ryan angle, he’s not just betting on that. He visits Frankendrew (Roger Howarth) to ask for help as well. Jason needs to know what he might remember. Frankendrew wants to know if he means Franco Baldwin or Drew Cain (Billy Miller). He says Drew. He explains the situation and says that he believes there is one person that can connect all the different attacks and the frame job—Peter August. He needs to know if Frankendrew remembers anything about that name or face. The picture is mostly unfamiliar, except for remembering this is the same guy who bought him a drink not long ago. But the mention of Peter’s name is. He just isn’t sure how. He feels that he should remember something about that name, but he can’t quite figure out what.
His lawyer, Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) is surprised to see Jason there. He seems interested, though, when he learns that Jason was there to call upon a memory of Drew’s.
‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Trial prep
To prepare for the trial, Martin had also brought one of Drew’s military uniforms for Frankendrew to wear. Martin advises him to put it on now and take some time to get comfortable in it. But Martin might have a big fight ahead of him.
Elsewhere, Scott Bladwin (Kin Shriner) has been preparing as well. He’s ready to fight tooth and nail alongside Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) to get Franco back. A chance meeting with Julian might just make all the difference there. We don’t hear exactly what Julian tells them about Kim Nero (Tamara Braun), but we can only assume it was about the attempted rape of Drew. Especially when Scott seems to think they now have this in the bag afterwards.
‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Watch your step
In other news, Robert is feeling defensive. He sees Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) sitting alone and approaches him to set him straight on something. He is obviously taking some of what Felicia Scoprio (Kristina Wagner) said last time to heart, because he confronts Finn about how the spy thing can do damage to a relationship. He also hopes that Finn is not doing anything that would hurt Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). Finn assures him that, while he’s having breakfast with Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) today, there is nothing like that going on between them. Also, Anna knows about it. Robert hopes things stay that way.
Later, Hayden never shows for the breakfast. He is puzzling about that with Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) when a call from the hospital comes in. He rushes down there to see to a sick kid, and is met by Hayden. He tells her he has work to deal with, and Hayden says she needs to talk to him about that. The patient he is about to see is her daughter.
‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Too much of a good thing
Elsewhere, Dustin Phillips (Mark Lawson) is glad that Joss seems to be getting a benefit out of journaling. When he learns she’s spending several hours a day at it, though, he’s worried she’s getting too much of a good thing. He thinks it’s great to get her thoughts on paper, but there’s something to be said for human interaction as well. Plus, hanging out more with her friends will give more material to write about.
‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Reality check
It seems he is not the only one who feels this way. After Cameron Webber (William Lipton) leaves for the Frankendrew hearing, Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) confronts Joss. She wants to know what’s up with that, because she wished Cam good luck. Trina thinks that wasn’t enough. She accuses Joss of not reciprocating the support Cam gave her over Oscar Nero’s (Garren Stitt) illness and loss.
