El Final del Paraíso, Season 4/Episode 15: Prófuga de la justicia (Fugitive of Justice)
El Final del Paraíso spoilers for Monday, September 2nd find Catalina Santana (Carmen Villalobos) on the wrong side of a search, Natalia (Linda Baldrich) with more reason to suspect “Agent Valeria Montes” (Yésica “La Diabla” Beltrán, played by Kimberly Reyes), and Doña Hilda Santana (Catherine Siachoque) getting a pep talk. If you missed it, let’s catch up with an El Final del Paraíso recap.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: You got this
Doña Hilda is still suffering a crisis of confidence after her meeting with Johana (Bárbara Najas). To help out, Catalina Marín Santana (aka Cata 2, played by Carolina Gaitán), as well as Lizeth and Mirta Muriel (Margarita Torres and Gloria Pinilla) put together one of Doña Hilda’s designs.
When they show it to Doña Hilda, Cata 2 goes on about how great the fabric Doña Hilda found was, how talented she is, and how she taught Cata 2 to never give up on her dreams. She thinks Doña Hilda has what it takes, and she’s happy to hang around and do whatever she can to help.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Clearing the air
Meanwhile, Johana and Salavtore Miranda (Martín Karpan) have a talk following the kiss they shared in a previous episode. They talk about how she could have been a top model, her feelings for him, and his for Doña Hilda. He calls Johana more than an employee, she’s a friend. That was exactly what drove her to do what she did, but it looks like she’s now going to do whatever she can to help him get Doña Hilda’s work out to the world.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Breakout imminent
The breakout is supposedly happening in only hours, and will happen in the dining hall. For now, they’re all still in an isolation area. While they wait for the big moment, they talk about why they want out, José Luis Vargas’ (Jota, played by Francisco Bolívar) condition, and Santiago Sanín’s (Roberto Manrique) love for Cata Grande. He can’t believe that she has never been there in two years to try asking what happened and give him many chances to explain, as one should do. Right. Like he did when she allegedly fled with Aurelio “El Titi” Jaramillo (Gregorio Pernía), but was in reality in the hands of her cannibal boss. He admits to having made a mistake with her, but we can’t with the fact he doesn’t seem to be as worried about his kids. You know, the ones he’d once left alone in a foreign country while he ran off with an ex. #FatherOfTheYear. Can this particular story be over already? Because we can’t be bothered to care about his vindication/revenge. We are, however, interested in who this dead person Sombra (Mauricio Cujar) wants revenge over is. We have a feeling there might be a surprise in store there.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: “Kill her”
Natalia is watching over “Agent Valeria” when she begins to wake. She’s still mostly out of it and not aware anyone is there with her, but Diabla is talking. She tells someone to “kill the bitch” and says “screw them all”, which alarms Natalia. She records this on her phone to show Agent Michael Rubens (Giancarlo de Sousa). And we’re suddenly feeling bad for Natalia. She’s so going to die.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Obsessed
Unfortunately for Natalia, when she tries to tell Rubens about this, he’s very rude and dismissive. Cata Grande is currently on the run with Mariana Sanín Santana (Stephania Duque) while Vanessa Salazar (Estefanía Gómez) is heading back to Colombia to see someone accused of murder (Jota, obviously), so he doesn’t have time for anyone on Agent Santana’s team. The only thing he cares about today is finding her. Leads on Cata Grande’s whereabouts is the only thing he cares to hear from Natalia. He needs to get fired later once Natalia gets proven right about “Agent Valeria”. Well, that’s assuming she gets the chance to expose it.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Mother of stupid
Speaking of Cata Grande, she managed to steal an ambulance and get Mariana away from the hospital before ditching it to bring Mariana to a hotel in a wheelchair. Mariana is out of it enough that she doesn’t attack, but is aware enough for Cata Grande to get her to move from the ambulance to the chair.
Later, she ties Mariana to a bed in said hotel. When she wakes, Cata Grande tries to talk sense into her daughter, but all Mariana will do is go on about wanting drugs and being part of the New World Order. Cata Grande needs a clue, like, yesterday. Yes, she’s a worried mother, but this is a girl that tried to kill her just a little while ago. One who has made no secret over the past few years how much she hates Cata Grande. Mariana needs a lot more than a bunch of “I love you” speeches to get back on track—if that’s even possible at this point. Just the idea she snuck her hallucinating, violent daughter out of a place where objective parties could keep her from hurting her or anyone else shows the brief intelligence and new person we saw in her return a couple of seasons ago was a total aberration. She’s still the same immature, stupid girl she was then.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Miracle voicemail
As if to prove that, while Cata Grande waits for Mariana to wake, she calls Albeiro, needing to hear his voice. You know, the guy who was in a twenty-year relationship with her mother that he threw out the window the second he found out Cata Grande was alive. They both note that the other doesn’t sound well, which leads to both of them eventually confessing. She tells him how she kidnapped Mariana, and he admits that he’s dying. The weird part is, he keeps being so overdramatic with it. You’d think he was just told he is, in fact, terminal when there are so many treatments now. And it’s not like he’s going to drop any second from it. Hell, Diabla’s been living with HIV for at least 2-3 years now with no treatment, as she only just learned she has it.
As if to prove he’s every bit the trash that we believed him to be from day one of Sin Senos No Hay Paraíso (Without breasts there is no paradise), he leaves this long, dramatic voicemail after Cata Grande hangs up to attend to Mariana. He goes on about how he might be leaving soon, and how much he loves her, what a man he is in facing his death (right. Says the guy who can’t even say what he’s got), and how her voice must be what plays in Heaven. Wow. Who wrote that? And how on earth was he able to get all that out before the message cut off? That message seriously ran on forever. We also have to call BS on him going on about how he called her the queen of their town. Actually, Albeiro, you said she *would* be the queen if she had bigger boobs. Which was part of what started Cata Grande on that insane quest to get implants and live the prepago life to start with. #Next
