May 21st La Reina del Sur spoilers have Teresa Mendoza (Kate del Castillo) getting a new ally, Epifanio Vargas (Humberto Zurita) getting exposed, and more developments in the Kira investigation. If you missed the action, let’s catch up with your La Reina del Sur recap.
La Reina del Sur spoilers: So close…
Sofia Dantes (Isabella Sierra) has managed to get out of the house where she was almost sold to a perv, but that didn’t mean she was in the clear. She runs right into Fancesco Belmondo (Raoul Bova) as she’s trying to escape. Not too surprisingly, she clings to him and begs for help as she explains what happened inside the house. Francesco, to his credit, confronts Mrs. Mercedes as she comes outside in search of Sofia and claims she’s his daughter. The perv in question has also gotten outside, and Francesco gives the man the same story before shooting him in a very… sensitive area. He’s about to take out Mrs. Mercedes when she yells that the child’s escaped. And we salute Sofia once more for having the presence of mind to run away after clinging to him in her fear. She eventually does get snatched by Francesco again, but Simon’s right there, hanging on to the back of the van she’s been shoved into. Bless these writers for gifting us with awesome, useful kids on a show for once.
Also having a close call is Teresa. She has found a spot in the station where she believes Sofia has been living. She and Oleg Yasikov (Antonio Gil) were leaving the area when Alejandro Alcalá (Mark Tacher) arrives, also in search of our Queen-in-training. He’s surprised to see Teresa and tries to play off him being there, but Teresa assures him he has no idea who he’s dealing with. She’s got eyes and ears everywhere, and she knows that Sofia escaped. Oleg then promises that if Sofia isn’t found safe, they will rain hellfire down on everyone involved in the kidnapping. Have we mentioned we’re totally stanning Oleg? Cause we are.
Anyway, after that’s all done and our pair is getting ready to leave, Teresa spots her daughter. Unfortunately, there’s a ton of people around, and a big parade type of thing going on outside, which causes Sofia to be lost in the crowd. Desperate, Teresa grabs Oleg’s gun and fires into the air to try to, we assume, get the crowd to disperse for easier searching. Oleg scolds her for the move, and reminds her of the importance of keeping one’s cool. After all, she’s not going to do any good in jail.
La Reina del Sur spoilers: Secret’s out
Epifanio is having a bad, bad, day today. First, Genoveva Alcalá (Kika Edgar) brings news that Marietta Lancaster (Anna Ciocchetti) has a new scoop to add to the Epifanio expose: photos of Teresa outside of a private plane in Mexico. She’s surprised by his non-reaction, but doesn’t get much of a chance to get into it. Alejandro rushes in with news that the place is getting swarmed by reporters. That was all a ruse, though, to distract from the other bad part of his day.
Carmen Martínez (Patricia Reyes Spíndola) is also at the house, and she’s demanding her due as his wife. She is still determined that she’s not going to be cast aside that easily. While they argue, Genoveva returns and is shocked he would speak like that to a fellow reporter. Carmen ends up informing her she is not some reporter, but is actually Epifanio’s wife. Epifanio tries to weasel his way out of this, but Genoveva ain’t having it. Everything makes sense now, and she is furious. She storms out with her brother hurrying after her. She’s mad at him, too, because he didn’t tell her this already.
La Reina del Sur spoilers: New Ally
Today, everyone gets to meet the latest member of Teresa’s house of misfits: Raimundo Dávila Parra (Rafael Amaya), the hacker from a pervious episode who’s on the run. He seems to be kind of into Paloma Aljarafe (Agata Herranz), but a little shocked to find out she’s pregnant.
Teresa seems really happy to meet him, as he’s family of someone she once loved. She’s also really happy to learn he’s a hacker, because that’s going to be a very handy addition to their group. She still won’t completely trust Willy Rangel (Christian Tappan), though, even after everything he’s done for her so far. We kind don’t blame her.
La Reina del Sur spoilers: Chasing a lead
After getting that key made last time, Jonathan Peres (Tiago Correa) pulls a fast one to get some time alone with the security boxes. He locates the one that belongs to Manuela (Paola Núñez), and pulls it out. Inside is a removable with “Kira” on it. He attaches it to his phone and saves the info before cleaning everything up and leaving.
