Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recently revealed to all that Claire Brady (Olivia Rose Keegan) is Salem’s frestarter, not Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson). She was caught re-handed in the act, and even broke down and confessed after. In shock over her actions, Claire even tried to kill herself while Marlena Evans looked on. Lucky for her (or not, depending on her perspective later), Marlena was there to talk her down and bring her to the help she needs.
Days of Our Lives spoilers: Can Claire come back from rock bottom?
The future’s looking very iffy right now for Claire. For one, the actress has left the show after being on the series since 2015. Besides that, she’s dealing with the reality of her actions, and looking at a long stay at Bay view. In fact, her last air date is said to be coming in the next week or so. But can this departure lead to a possible return as a new person?
Days of Our Lives spoilers: Getting away from it all
Let’s face it… Salem isn’t exactly a stress-free environment, and Claire’s a real high-strung type. Plus, she’s got several triggers there: Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal), Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams), and Haley Chen (Thia Megia). Getting some distance between herself and those who set her off can only be a good thing for her. With time and a lot of therapy, she could eventually get her issues under control like Ben did. She was even told in a recent episode that if Ben can do this, so can she. Stranger things have happened in soap world.
Days of Our Lives spoilers: The case for redemption
Claire was upset enough about her actions to want to die. If that doesn’t scream repentant, we don’t know what does. She’s also owned what she did, and thinks of herself as being worse than Ben. That sense of personal responsibility and understanding how serious her actions were is another point in her favor for redemption. Not only that, but even Ciara herself doesn’t seem to hold any real hate for Claire over this. In fact, she seems to feel guilty herself for pushing Claire that far. She’s also got a support system lining up to be there for her, which is also important in healing.
Days of Our Lives spoilers: Recast in the works?
Of course, that’s all depending on whether they will bring the actress back eventually or recast the part. There’s certainly precedent for that one. Recently, we’ve had Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) being recast, and Kyle Lowder came back to play Rex Brady after once playing Brady Black (Eric Martsolf). People hop shows a lot these days, too, as Greg Rikaart (Leo Stark) left Salem for a return Genoa City as Kevin Fisher. Michelle Stafford, who played Nina Reeves on General Hospital is now on The Young and the Restless as Phyllis Summers. In a very small soap world, anything is possible.
