‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers indicate that soaps are known for dramatic changes and show hopping. Just check out a recent article here about Claire Brady’s (Olivia Rose Keegan) exit and possible redemption to see how often actors change roles and shows. Perhaps the biggest changes have come on Days. With more on the way, it’s looking like the show’s about to heat up. Here’s what you need to know.
‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) Spoilers: Kyle Lowder’s (Rex Brady) Exit Signals Mass Character Exodus – Will DOOL Survive Exits? Here’s What You Need To Know!
Claire’s not the only one leaving Salem. Nadia Bjorlin’s (Chloe Lane) upcoming exit has been known for a while now. Just the other day, news broke that Kyle Lowder (Rex Brady) was going to leave for “story reasons” in August, and it’s rumored that Lucas Adams (Tripp Dalton) is also leaving. Rex’s departure might very well have something to do with the almost kiss between Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) and Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan).
Two of these characters have been taking up a lot of screen time lately, considering that we’ve been focusing so much on Claire’s insecurities in her relationship with Tripp, her partnership with Eve to send Haley Chen (Thia Megia) packing, and the plot to expose her as the firestarter. Tripp, we’re guessing is going to need a nice, long break after nearly getting sent up the river for his part in the marriage scam, not to mention almost getting killed by his ex.
As for Chloe, she’d been getting a lot of time in the forefront as well as we explored her budding romance with Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash), her fight to survive a Mexican drug cartel, and the aftermath of Holly’s “death”/Nicole Walker’s (Arianne Zucker) return. Given her broken heart and the belief Holly is gone, we’re not seeing many reasons for her to stay. This leaves a bit of a void, but there are plenty of characters ready to step in to fill it.
Days of Our Lives spoilers: Welcome back
Thaao Penghlis confirmed back in May that he’d be back in Salem, although he wouldn’t mention which character would be making the return. Based on a recent Instagram post mentioning the character (and the initials that have been coming up since the most recent Nashville visit), we’re thinking that André DiMera is the character coming back. This could definitely be interesting, as Stacy Haiduk (Kristen DiMera) is said to be playing her doppelganger Susan Banks soon. This could mean some big screen time for the DiMera family as the aftermath of Kristen’s scheme plays out.
Also reported to return is Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols). Given the circumstances of his departure (having to prove himself after that bionic eye he was given is used to steal classified intel), we sense some serious work to be done by Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) to make up for unwillingly putting him in that position by plotting with Stefan to make the eye transplant happen. He’ll also likely be busy dealing with brother Jack Deveraux’s (Matthew Ashford) memory loss/possible return to normal.
