'Days of Our Lives' spoilers: Eileen Davidson Takes On Stacy Haiduk - Battle of the Kristens DiMera!

‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers have had Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) at the forefront a lot and causing trouble. But hey, when isn’t Kristen getting into some trouble, right? Since the character might just be forced to face the music soon, we thought we’d look back on former portrayer Eileen Davidson and see who we think wins the battle.

Kristen is in a bad position right now. After coming back to town disguised as Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) with an eye on controlling DiMera, things have not gone well.

It started off fine. She’s had everyone fooled into thinking she’s really Nicole, she rid herself of Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) by blaming him for Holly’s alleged death, and she managed to talk Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) into hiring her at the family company. That’s where things start going bad.

‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Battle on

Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) won’t eliminate two key witnesses that could expose her, Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) and others are suspicious of Ted Laurent (Gilles Marini) and Kate DiMera’s (Lauren Koslow) disappearances, and she’s just been fired by Stefan. That happened after Kristen was so busy trying to deal with Xander’s mess that she forgot to book a venue for the big Gabi Chic/Basic Black launch.

To see who we think is the better Kristen, we watched a handful of scenes online. These dealt with a confrontation between her and Stefan DiMera (Joseph Mascolo), a fight with Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), an encounter with her doppleganger, Susan Banks, and a pregnancy plot.

‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers: The verdict

After watching these scenes, we enjoyed seeing a slightly different side to Kristen. And watching Eileen’s scenes definitely showed us why she’s an Emmy winner. Her vulnerability, yet serious darker side is great to see. By contrast, Stacy’s Kristen is striking us as more blood thirsty, majorly campy, and brings some excellent snark.

Ultimately, we think we’re going to have to give the advantage to Stacy here. While Eileen is an excellent actress and we like her version, this Kristen’s a little more fun to watch. And she’s definitely more in the “love to hate” category, which we can’t resist.
