Days of Our Lives spoilers: Carrie leaves with a bang on the fourth, unwittingly drops the Rafe hookup bomb in front of Hope
Days of Our Lives spoilers: Not afraid
Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves) is getting some major surprises today. She arrives at JJ Deveraux’s (Casey Moss) place to find Haley Chen (Thia Megia) wearing a towel. She’s shocked, and worried about what trouble might be coming their way. To her relief (and happiness), she learns that Haley is here legitimately while her green card is sorted out. She also gets the news that the charges against JJ were dropped, something that has both her and JJ suspicious. They’re sure Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) is getting something out of this.

Later, the trio runs into Jack and Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva). Eve, who’d already been having as she had to lie about why John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) were storming out of the Salem PD earlier, is annoyed to see Haley there. Jack is, too. Eve wastes now time in pulling her phone out to inform ICE that she’s back, but it doesn’t bother our righteous trio. In fact, they dare her to. Haley is no longer afraid of Eve, because she can’t touch her.
Days of Our Lives spoilers: Rehashing
Carrie Brady (Christie Clark) last day in town is filled with rehashing her drama. She’s forced to break the news (again) about her breakup to Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) after he catches on that something happened the previous night. He’d been worried about the impact this would have on her marriage, so she told him the truth.
Later on, she has to break the news to Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) as well. This time, she also gives details about her hookup with Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering). Unfortunately, Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) has walked into the pub just in time to maybe hear this.
The news about Claire Brady (Olivia Rose Keegan) is also making the rounds today as the Hortons and Bradys gather for the impromptu party. Everyone is shocked and devastated to learn that one of their own is in such a bad state. Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) is taking it pretty hard. She blames herself for not seeing that Claire was so bad off. She thinks if she’d spent less time controlling others’ lives, she might have noticed. Ha! Okay, that was funny because it was sort of true. But, as she’s assured, no one else really noticed either.
Days of Our Lives spoilers: Surprise
Speaking of humble pie, Julie had to eat some extra servings to make the holiday. See, the original plan was to have a party at her and Doug’s (Bill Hayes) place. Before she gets the barbeque call and abandons her own party, Lani Price (Sal Stowers) had arrived. Julie is not exactly welcoming, and goes on about the situation with her and Eli Grant (Lamon Archey), as well as how it might be best if she wasn’t here today. She talks so fast, Lani doesn’t have the chance to explain she and Eli are back together. Julie finds out when Eli comes in and embraces Lani. She can’t apologize fast enough, and takes the blame for this awkward moment by not giving Lani a chance to speak. Wow. A couple of Fourth of July miracles…
Later, while everyone else is watching the fireworks show, the newly-reunited couple step away for a private moment. It seems both of them were affected by watching Rafe care for David, and Eli now understands what she was feeling while caring for the child. He was tempted to dote over the baby as well. He’s actually inspired to want to try again, but he admits he’d want to be married first. When Lani agrees with his thinking, he pops the question. She accepts.

Days of Our Lives spoilers: Celebrating
Meanwhile, there’s a bit of a competition going on at the barbeque. Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) and Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) are duking it out over their preferred cooking methods. Rex is Team Propane, while Eric is representing Team Charcoal. Their banter as they each do their thing is awesome, but Rex eventually has to admit defeat. After sampling each one’s burgers, Sarah declares that nothing beats a burger made on a charcoal grill. Better luck next time, Rex.
As the fireworks go off later, Rex and Sarah congratulate themselves on a successful revival of an old family tradition. Not everyone is having such a nice evening, though. Hope, as it turns out, did overhear Carrie’s confession. When Rafe approaches her to say he’ll also be there if she needs anything, Hope responds, “Like you were there for Carrie last night?” Ouch. She assures him it doesn’t matter, as they were already divorced. She hands him back the ring she was still wearing to make things official.
