The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that he might be gone, but he will never be forgotten. Justin Hartley was one of the biggest stars on The Young and the Restless, thanks to his role as the unforgettable and very handsome Adam Newman. And even though he’s made the transition from daytime to primetime television with the massive hit This is Us, that doesn’t mean he’s forgotten about his soap roots. In fact, the actor says some of his best memories are from his days on the set of Passions and The Young and the Restless.

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest, the handsome actor, who is married to Days of Our Lives star Chrishell Hartley, says he often thinks about his days spent in Genoa City. After all, if it weren’t for his daytime television career, he wouldn’t be where he is today.

When asked if he feels as though his soap days were a lifetime ago, Justin Hartley said, “Sometimes, and then sometimes it feels like just yesterday. I’m friends with Missy [Claire Egan, ex-Chelsea et al] still and we’ll go on about things that we used to laugh about; crazy storylines and stuff you remember vividly.”

Justin Hartley has been fortunate enough to be working steadily in the entertainment industry for the past 17 years. When asked if he’s scared that it might just all go away, he answered, “I wasn’t scared until, like, five seconds ago. Why? Do you think that’s going to happen to me? No, I’m just kidding. That’s a great question. I try to tell myself to stop and enjoy the moment, because it really is a special moment. I may never be on a better show in my life. It’d be hard to beat this show. I may never do a show again. But, you try to enjoy the moment.”
