La Reina Del Sur 2 Recap for 5/6/2019 Season 2, Episode 10 “Adiós, Moscú” (Goodbye, Moscow) shows what a cobarde Epifanio Vargas (Humberto Zurita) is, and leaves us wondering whether the Queen will make it out of Russia. If you missed your La Reina del Sur spoilers to start the week, check out the highlights in today’s La Reina del Sur recap.
La Reina del Sur spoilers: Dirty politics
Epifanio is meeting with Alejandro Alcalá (Mark Tacher) when Genoveva Alcalá (Kika Edgar) drops by, fawning over her candidate boyfriend a minute. When she leaves, Epifanio and Alejandro discuss the delicate situation they’re in, because Epifanio is not officially divorced. He wants to deal with this and marry Genoveva, as he’d promised.
How does he deal with this? By sending Alejandro to meet with Carmen Martínez (Patricia Reyes Spíndola) to ask for the divorce. She, of course, thinks that he’d contacted her after fifteen years because “a candidate needs his first lady.” She gloats about that to her daughter, Virginia Vargas (Vera Mercado), and granddaughter, Jimena Montes (María Camila Giraldo). She’s clearly annoyed when Alejandro is waiting for her to ask for a divorce on Epifanio’s behalf instead. She is not open to this “good deal” he’s offering, because there is only one thing that would make her tears, his infidelities, and abandonment worthwhile: the title of First Lady. Alejandro plays this perfectly, going on about all the ways the press will attack and the effect it will have on her. Apparently, any scandal involving family is unforgivable, no matter what else is in a politician’s closet waiting to come out. She says she’ll have to have someone look at the paper first before she signs, but Alejandro won’t let her take it home. She has one day to decide.
La Reina del Sur spoilers: Message from the devil
Cayetana Segovia (Luisa Gavasa) has fallen asleep waiting in Rocio’s room for her return. She wakes coughing, probably due to whatever can be seen burning. She sees Rocío Aljarafe (Sara Vidorreta) and gives her hell for coming in at such a late hour, but Rocío isn’t in the mood. She wants to know what happened with their cards. Cayetana has no shame in saying she refuses to support a couple of sluts. Rocío thinks abuela is a little too high and mighty, considering that a lot of the money Teo Aljarafe (Miguel de Miguel) left behind was stolen from Teresa Mendoza (Kate del Castillo). Cayetana denies this and goes on about she and her father earned everything they have. Rocío disagrees and has all the info on her father’s accounts to prove it. Cayetana apparently doesn’t care that her son was a cheating traitor and doesn’t have the time for his daughters anymore, either.
Rocío soon has something more important to worry about because Paloma Aljarafe (Agata Herranz) is being sought out by her so-called man, Juan (Pol Monen) , who wants to rape her again. This family, man. We’re guessing Dad’s karma is getting worked out on his poor daughters.
¡Bravo Willy!

Sofia Dantes (Isabella Sierra) is still trying to process what she’s heard about Teresa killing her father when she suffers another blow. Morgana (Norma Angélica) has destroyed the mural she worked so hard on. Everything that’s happened since her kidnapping must’ve finally taken its toll, because César “Batman” Güemes (Alejandro Calva) comes in to find Sofia burning up with fever. He screams for Morgana, who finally arrives with a bit of attitude. He tells her Sofia is burning up and Morgana is not impressed. She’s been through this before and says Sofia’s just faking. After he threatens to shoot her a couple of times, Morgana finally comes in with a thermometer (and a warning to be careful—Sofia used a lightbulb to alter the reading before). He confirms she’s burning up and Morgana doesn’t look particularly hasty when she goes to get a doctor. Seriously… why haven’t they just offed this woman yet? She’s insolent as hell, and kind of stupid.
La Reina del Sur 2 spoilers: On the run
The telenovela Gods seem to smile on Teresa once more, as she’s saved from certain death by the appearance of one of Willy Rangel’s (Christian Tappan) men, who says it’s his job to get her out of Russia alive. She’s shocked and checks with Willy, who points out he wasn’t able to tell her about the bodyguard because she won’t answer his calls. He begs her to trust him, but she just thanks him for his help and hangs up.
Teresa won’t be on her own, though. Since the men who’d attacked her government-connected, Oleg Yosikov (Antonio Gil) knows there’s only one ending coming for him. He’d rather it be elsewhere and after helping save Sofia, so he plots to leave Russia with Teresa.
Back at his place, he gets some fake passports ready for the both, puts together some cash, and has his wife and child go somewhere else in London. He doesn’t want to do anything that would connect them with his escape. With everything set, they head out.

Oleg has decided they’re traveling by train because of fewer checkpoints. He warns Teresa, who is once more using the name Maria (with a Russian surname), not to speak a word of Spanish or English if a guard comes around. This is exactly what ends up happening, and the guard tries to badger Teresa into talking, but she stays cool and starts making signs to Oleg, who finally is able to tell the impatient guard who wouldn’t let him speak his sister is deaf and mute. Not only that, but she’s very humiliated and upset with his treatment of her. The guard doesn’t seem too shamed and leaves with their passports.
It doesn’t take Oleg and Teresa long to realize that this train is now being held because of them and they’re in trouble. They rush in and out of a couple of trains before heading for a wooded area, with guards giving chase. We’ll have to see what fancy move they’ll pull to get out of this one.
