Days of Our Lives Recap Monday, May 6: Rafe Makes Fatal Mistake, Defiance of Hope’s Orders Comes With Huge and Potentially Deadly Implications!
The scam lives
Gabi’s plot to destroy Stefan almost takes a bad turn today. Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) had stopped by to see Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) to apologize for what he’d done before and offer support. As he’s leaving, he catches Stefan and Gabi coming downstairs looking awfully guilty. He goes off on them, and Gabi insists on speaking to Brady outside while Stefan checks on Chloe.

While Stefan is learning the latest on Holly, Gabi is outside insisting that she was there to keep the “destroy Stefan” plan alive. Just because he isn’t trying to get back Chloe, doesn’t mean she shouldn’t have her revenge. Brady calls her out for possibly hurting Chloe and how she needs to stop this. We can’t. Seriously, dude. Were you thinking about that when you got Gabi started on this whole scheme? Against her better judgment, we might add? Gabi points out as much, then claims that she merely threw herself at Stefan, only to be turned down.
Later, Stefan is relieved to know that he’s not getting busted for his (second) mistake, but is a bit incredulous that Gabi would rather Brady think she was rejected like that. We’d say that’s a good observation, but this new Stefan doesn’t seem to have the same BS detector. We’re pretty sure he’ll fall for it again.
Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Fatal mistake?
Speaking of the Holly situation, Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) goes against Rafe’s better instincts and agrees to send Ted Laurent (Gilles Marini) alone to get Holly back. Hope doesn’t think they have a choice, so Ted leaves to take care of business while Hope informs Chloe and Nicole of what’s going on. This is where things potentially take a very bad turn.
Rafe decides to follow Ted, ending up in the same apartment that Ted had met with Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) before. He’s checking out the kid stuff still sitting there when Ted comes out of another room and flips out on Rafe for not following the plan. While they’re arguing, a phone call comes in, allegedly from a very unhappy kidnapper who’d specified no cops. He swears he’s alone, but gets hung up on.
Rafe looks out the window and sees who he believes is the kidnapper escaping. Rafe runs out in pursuit of the car. Later, he calls Hope to say he’d been following the kidnapper, but there’s been an accident. If the writers go there, we swear…. ::preparing angry letters now::

‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The triangle continues—sort of.
Sarah has been dealing with damage control after Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) came upon her and Marlena (Deidre Hall) at a bad moment. And we have to stop here because, seriously: rich people constantly trying to hide things from each other, yet getting busted. Invest in some cones of silence or something already. Or at least have the sense not to talk about sensitive issues where the subject is likely to be. Sarah had played it off as Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) still being mad about her night with Xander. Despite her begging Rex not to say anything, he ends up bringing it up to Eric in the interest of peace ahead of the wedding. To his credit, Eric plays along and swears Sarah’s forgiven. Someone else isn’t, though. At least not with Sarah.
See, Victor and Nicole had reunited and he made it very clear that he thinks her alive status is bad news. They end up arguing about his feelings about her, and the murder she committed. She points out that he had hired someone to commit that murder, and he shrugs it off. She’s, after all, the one that got to Deimos first. He thinks she should go away for the crime, and even blames Nicole for the situation with Holly. She’s the one that committed a murder, got blackmailed, and had given custody of Holly to Chloe.
Sarah overhears some of this, then jumps into the fray. She tells Victor off, and isn’t impressed by anything he says, because she’s her mother’s guest, not his. Obviously over these lesser creatures, Victor leaves Sarah, Rex, and Eric to comfort Nicole. Sarah takes Nicole to another room to get cleaned up while Eric and Rex have that little talk we mentioned earlier. Victor’s in such rare form today, he must still be grumpy about Claire Brady (Olivia Rose Keegan) having moved in. If he doesn’t know yet? We might just be in for some more classic Victor very soon.
