Days of Our Lives Recap Friday, May 3:Ted Throws Himself On the Sword, Sacrifices Himself To Save Holly and Look Like A Hero
Sarah is approached by Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), who wanted to know about Will Horton’s (Chandler Massey) treatment. She lets Marlena know he’s handling it and they’re hopeful the plan will help. While she’s got Marlena there, she decides to cop to manipulating the truth about Eric Brady’s (Greg Vaughan) feelings for her. Marlena’s a little upset at being lied to, but is glad the truth is out. She’s shocked to learn, when she asks what Sarah and Eric will do now, that Nicole’s alive and well. Sarah has decided to accept the situation and move on by marrying Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder), because she’d never come between Eric and the love of his life.
Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Revenge porn
Speaking of lies, Gabi is keeping hers going by pretending (again) to have an urgent matter that needs Stefan DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) attention. Before meeting him, she fantasizes about having a one-year anniversary dinner with Stefan where she pulls a Abigail Deveraux (Kate Mansi) by gifting him divorce papers. She happily informs Stefan she’s taking him for everything he’s got.
In the real world, Stefan is somewhat distracted by Holly’s kidnapping, so Gabi acts all impatient and tells him that if his head isn’t in the game, she’ll just get approval from the board herself. Stefan doesn’t take kindly to that and follows her to the front door, where he corners her and informs Gabi he is the boss here, not her. Predictably, this ends with a mini-fight that leads right to bed. Considering Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) arrives shortly after we see Stefan and Gabi wondering what the hell they’re doing, we’re sure this is going to end with a very awkward encounter.
Days of Our Lives Spoilers: The search continues
While Chloe and Nicole are both stressing about Holly, everyone’s still coming to terms with Nicole actually being alive. Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) practically breaks down, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) is stunned and apologetic for running her out of town, while Hope Brady describes meeting with Nicole for a kidnapping update as “surreal”.
That update (Holly is supposedly in the hands of the cartel and will be released once Hector is sent back to Mexico) causes some friction between Hope and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering). Rafe doesn’t buy this sudden confession from Hector and calls Hope out for believing anything that comes out of Ted’s mouth. As it’s the only lead right now, she tells Ted he should go ahead and see if a judge will sign off on the extradition.
DOOL Spoilers: Drawing the line
It seems that Ted has his limits. Back at the apartment Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) is hiding out in with Holly, he lets Ted know that Hector folded after Ted used the info Xander gave him. He just wants this over, and balks when Xander claims that Holly is not going to be reunited with her mother. He reiterates this was not what he signed up for and he wants nothing to do it. He even says he’s going to end this now, to which Xander threatens him. Ted says he’ll risk it. We’ll see if he follows through for real, because Ted returns to the PD later and says he knows where Holly is. Personally, we think Ted is an idiot to tell Xander he’s going to risk telling the truth. Like he’s going to stick around for the cops to arrive…
