Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Haley Kissing JJ Before Wedding To Tripp Is Finalized Means Trouble With Salem PD – Hope and Rafe Issues Escalate
Claire is desperate, what with her boyfriend about to marry another woman and all, so what’s she do? She basically holds Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) hostage by arriving at her hotel and refusing to leave until Eve has helped her find a way to get rid of Hayley Chen (Thia Megia) now. Eve, obviously, is all about her own wedding and finding the “bitch” that has obviously done something with her man. It seems Eve can’t deny those mom instincts she has toward Claire long, because she eventually agrees to hash out a plan.

During their talk, Claire gets increasingly agitated and makes a slip that eventually leads to a big confession: she set the fire that nearly killed Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal). Eve is shocked, and wants to know what was going through her head. Claire breaks down some more and explains how she never meant to harm Ciara to start with. She just lost it, and has been keeping the lighter as a reminder of how lucky she got that day when Ciara was saved. She worries that Eve’s gonna rat on her, but Eve assures her she won’t. Instead, she’s going to help make sure that Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) goes down for it instead.
Speaking of Ben, he’s thrilled to come across his nephew and get the opportunity to hold him. The happiness doesn’t last, because Lani Price (Sal Stowers) is weird about Ben holding the kid and eventually demands to take the baby back, because it’s getting cold. Then, Eli Grant (Lamon Archey), who’s been watching all this, asks to speak to Ben about the fire. Ciara isn’t having this and insists for, like, the millionth time that Ben’s innocent. Eli wants her to join him at the station to check out the lighter, all the same. She does eventually have to admit that it looks like it could’ve been the lighter she saw.
Back to the first in the wedding double-header in Salem. Jack is still Jennifer Horton’s (Melissa Reeves) captive and has been hit by a bunch of boxes after he recklessly started shaking the shelf. Jennifer doesn’t show nearly as much concern for that as she should, because Jack’s first word after getting knocked over just happens to be the name of a boat that means something to them. She jumps on that like a rabid dog and won’t let go, eventually telling him how he almost got her killed by a bad guy for using a fake diary to get her back years ago. He’s basically like “so” and points out she’s still alive and well to drive him crazy right now. Ha! Her response is that it means there are some memories left in there to find. If Jennifer wasn’t somewhat irritating us a lot of the time, we’d think these two are the best pairing ever. What it all eventually comes down to is, she gives him a choice to leave the room he’s been locked in. We’ll see if he takes it.

Is kissing the best man before the wedding bad luck?
As for the other wedding in town, Hayley is alone at the loft when JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss) arrives bearing flowers. One for him and Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams), and one for her to put in her hair. Hayley is touched, but is clearly having a moment. She can’t help thinking about when she was a kid in China, dreaming about her big day. A green card affair was not in her plans. But, here she is, and she’s going to go through with it. She does, however, take the opportunity to tell JJ that she forgives him for what happened. They end up kissing, and we’re thinking that is not a good way to keep their fraud under wraps.
Here we go again
It’s Hope vs. Rafe (again), as the pair head off to speak privately. For Rafe, he wants to break the news about being asked to hang on to baby David a while. Hope apparently wants to speak about their relationship and what’s been going on with her and Ted Laurent (Gilles Marini). He’s shocked to see she’s not exactly going out of her way to deny possibly leaving him for Ted. Hope can’t believe that he wants to bring a baby into the house when things have been so tough. Rafe decides he wants to go through with watching David, and tells Hope to use the time to think over what she wants.
