Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Can Someone Be Too Stupid and Too Smart At the Same Time? Tripp Eggs Claire On, Puts Her On Brink Of Doing Something Terrible
Claire just keeps getting worse, and Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) doesn’t help. See, Claire decided to try and get more proof of the wedding sham, but Tripp is too smart while also being too dumb. He’s too dumb to see that Claire is completely off her rocker and hating this hard, but smart enough not to take chances. He responds to Claire’s leading talk by saying this wedding is 100% on the level, and he has no idea what her deal is.

Claire’s shook. Like, massively shook. When he explains outside he didn’t wanna risk speaking around a phone that might be hacked, she chills a little. Apparently not enough, though, because while helping Hayley Chen (Thia Megia) with her makeup, she fantasizes about making Hayley into a clown with a unibrow. We can’t even.
Double-booked
JJ decides to confront Jack about this wedding to Eve thing, eventually telling his dad he’s a complete idiot. He says that Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves) isn’t upset about the wedding because it’s to Eve. She’s upset because she still loves Jack. Jack apparently isn’t moved enough, because he’s going through with it.
He even asks JJ to be his best man, as he wants to try making things better between them. JJ declines, because he’s already going to be the best man at Tripp’s wedding. Jack calls out that wedding as a fake, and JJ basically says, “Right back at ya!” These two, man. We feel the father/son bond so strong, we’re moved to tears…
In other wedding news, Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) learns about Jack once faking a fire and kidnapping Jennifer right before she could marry another man. He basically orchestrates a similar stunt, after luring Eve with an anonymous call promising the dirt on Abe Carver—in a Russian accent. Ha! Like, really?
We can’t with the obvious political referencing in recent weeks. We are very curious to see who is wearing the firefighter suit this time around. We’re guessing Jennifer, but um… well, how are they expecting her to drag Jack off anywhere, as Jack once did to her?

A mother’s work is never done
Marlena has decided she hasn’t meddled enough in her son’s life, so she once again brings up the Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) thing with Eric. She even offers to get him out of that promise to God by telling Sarah the truth herself. He insists he doesn’t want her to do that, but will Marlena ultimately listen? Who knows?
Meanwhile, Sarah has another naughty dream about Eric. She brushes her sudden weird attitude off to having a long day before. Seriously? Marlena was actually released from the hospital literally the very next morning after her near-death experience? Okay, then. Anyway, talk then turns to the wedding, and Sarah nearly spits out her drink when he suggests getting married that day.
She eventually gets control of herself and insists she wants a real wedding and to avoid her mother killing her for not being able to help plan it. Rex thinks she’d be more into planning a celebration of their breakup, but they don’t get any time to hash that all out further when Rex gets a call.
Phone call of doom?
That call in question was Will’s tests results. Rex asks him to come in, which ratchets up the anxiety levels for Will, not to mention Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith). Sonny was so nervous, in fact, he got Will another protective necklace to wear. After the call, he and Marlena (who’d happened by to check in) go with him to the hospital. When Rex comes in with the results, he says there’s some bad news. Marlena wasn’t there to help comfort Will, because she’d been called to tend to a patient who OD’d almost right after arriving.
